Is there much point to these midweeks considering all the missing data? I think Arcade Fire being #1 album and Top 3 singles are the only reliable things there :P

Streaming doesn't seem to impact the album chart *quite* so much so I'd say that's pretty reliable, the singles chart less so.

Katy Perry back in the Top 40 albums after falling out of the Top 75 last week :cheer: Guessing it's a blip if streaming is missing but hopefully 'Feels' is making people check out the album

It's because it's been reduced to £4.99

I've noticed that Spotify has been having issues with it's charts and updating them on time/glitches etc.

RE yesterday's update: am I right in thinking that 'Mi Gente' is doing much better on streaming than sales? If so that would mean that seeing it T40 on an update with most streaming data missing implies it'd be well into the correct chart.
spotify is updating quite late but it always updates in the end, so not sure why the occ hasn't received friday's data yet :D

yes, 20-ish on Spotify, 40-ish on itunes

If they get no streaming data by Friday will they just not include the streams or something?

They'll just run the chart as it is without the data.

The week it changed from Sunday to Friday they also had no Spotify data for the week, but it wasn't quite as big an issue back then.

That was a good week, I specifically remember Shake It Off making a comeback

A week without streams would be so funny.

After all, Birdy got a top 10 out of it last time *_*

I'd love a week like that again!

It was so wonderful seeing Wings completely fluking a top 10 hit and Petite Meller going top 30 <3

Also quite interesting, if this week becomes the 2nd time where Spotify data is missing, one last time was top 40 on both occasions :o

I'm quite sure we'll get the data by tomorrow or Thursday...hopefully.
I believe this was the chart published without Spotify data if anyone is curious

The oddest thing about that was Petite Miller going to #30 when otherwise it would've probably missed the top 50. The next week it fell down to #90 so it really was a fluke hit. And if it was an OA/OS release it probably would've struggled to go top 100.

Pharrell Williams also got a top 40 with 'Freedom' (#36) that he shouldn't have got.
