An actual Pet Shop Boys pet shop would probably be more successful.

The obvious question is do we want to attract anymore Dua Lipa stans? ;)

All joking aside, these changes make sense really for the site. I do think however we should be encouraging diversity in posters and their interests

Looks like Miley is next to face the chopping block bloc

I guess the test will be how popular the forum is during her current era! It would seem silly to axe it when she's got a new single/album coming soon.

The next step is going to be cutting and changing mod positions. The AFs need mods who will work to make them happen. Miley should really not be that low down on the list. This sounds awful but either step up or step down

I hope all the new artist forums work. I was just a bit surprised but shocked in a good way that Dua Lipa has an artist forum if someone told me at the beginning of the year that would have happened, I would have said that was unlikely. I wish all the artist moderators the best success with their respective forums and including the established ones.

Pretty sure Dua's forum had more posts in one day than Justin Timberlake's forum has had all year! I can't really see an argument against that.

We have the total post counts from 2016 for each Artist Forum, if that helps?

Wow !!, thanks a lot for putting that together , we are sixth , not bad at all B-)

It's surprising to see One Direction way down the list, I would have expected a young audience coming on board to follow them

I can't take any credit at all  It came from site owner Phil I believe, and was posted in a few of the AFs.

If additional Ariana mods are needed, I would suggest RobinJuanPersie as another candidate as I'm sure their knowledge would be beneficial :D

I hadn't seen this but thanks Spadam :)

I have to say these swaps in forums do seem like good choices. They do all seem like artists with large fanbases which could encourage people to join the site and invite discussion. A lot more than the ones they replaces at least.

I would support that. I like the synthpop style they were part of originally and it should make a return to pop music I think, I suppose Dua Lipa's Be The One was kind of synthpop though instrumentally.

I don't think discussion about the Pet Shop Boys would be able to sustain a Buzzjack artist forum though.

It would need to be someone current in my opinion... Maybe Clean Bandit, Calvin Harris or even Drake? ... I agree that PSB just probably won't stimulate enough discussion

I did actually consider CB could potentially be able to keep an AF going, but I'm not confident enough to open a poll myself :kink:

It would be nice to have someone with an AF who isn't Pop

I was thinking before about who could have an AF and surely Clean Bandit deserve one they're very well liked on here and surely a lot more success to come

The site is predominantly pop though and acts with fanbases to sustain an AF which is a huge factor to making an AF work. Dance acts like Clean Bandit or Calvin don't really have that fanbase or does Drake really, all of them sort of rely on the public in general who are more casual listeners.

Yes I agree with this, they sometimes make dance songs too so they would be a welcome addition being not mainly pure pop like the rest of the artists on the Artist Forums.

As long as its the Miley Cyrus Artist Forum going to make way or most ideally the Take That/Robbie merger rather than the Darius one which is undergoing a revival now.

Edited by Hiß

So tell me how a Robbie / TT merger will work

What would the layout look like, which artist will have priority on the forum

Tbh the more I think about it the more I can see it not working :smoke:

judging by the post count numbers that Riser posted, it seems Robbie/Take That really don't need merging.

I think Darius should be the next one to go, I know you're trying to get it more active again Snakey but it really is flogging a dead horse at this point.

Would it be possible to get a YTD (2017) post count from Phil for a more accurate picture of which AFs are struggling anyway?

Smart considering chopping forums when platinum members like me with hotmail have been locked out for months. Thanks a bunch.
