August 17, 20177 yr Economic Left/Right: -5.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.0 Seems about right for me tbh. Not too extreme on either but not close to being right or authoritarian
August 17, 20177 yr For me : Economic Left/Right: -2.63 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.92 I've always thought of myself as economically liberal, but socially conservative, so the above is in line with that.

August 17, 20177 yr I don't normally post in here but I really enjoy taking these sorts of tests, kinda exercises my political mind a little bit. Economic Left/Right: -4.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.56 http://i66.tinypic.com/259fi8j.jpg I've taken this test once before about a year ago and I think I was slightly more on the left side then.
August 17, 20177 yr Your Political Compass Economic Left/Right: -2.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.46 http://i65.tinypic.com/op0iuo.png I have some issues with the survey, as "neither agree nor disagree" is not an option, which would have skewed my results quite a bit. Still, seems to confirm my position as being the "wrong kind of centrist".
August 17, 20177 yr Also, welcome to everyone who doesn't regularly post within this board. It's always nice to see new names popping up in here, so I very much welcome you to contribute to this board if you can. News & Politics is a friendly board, I promise.
August 17, 20177 yr I remember taking this quiz years ago, I think the questions are still the same! Economic Left/Right: -2.38 Social Liberation: -5.18 Pretty sure I've been more left in the past! (And I don't think my answers changed much)
August 17, 20177 yr Further left than I thought. Although I suspect that wouldn't be the case if some of the questions were different. Economic Left/Right: -5.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.44
August 18, 20177 yr For me : Economic Left/Right: -2.63 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.92 I've always thought of myself as economically liberal, but socially conservative, so the above is in line with that. Economic liberalism general means you support a strong market economy with little-to-no government intervention. In that quadrant, you're not economically liberal, you're actually quite protectionist. Anyway, the test is bullshit. Who is going to disagree with "If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations"? A more interesting question to judge whether you're on the economic right or left is whether the interests of trans-national corporation and humanity at large are one at the same, not whether you have to make a choice between one or the other. August 19, 20177 yr Some of the questions make absolutely zero sense to me, but I got... Economic Left/Right: -5.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.44 ...that also means nothing to me, but I'm a little less left than I thought.
August 19, 20177 yr Author Some of the questions make absolutely zero sense to me, but I got... ...that also means nothing to me, but I'm a little less left than I thought. That's pretty left wing Mdh!

I was using 'liberal' in the American sense, i.e. left-of-centre. The questions on that test have varied a bit over the years.
