Posted September 13, 20177 yr 13th Swish Swish (Ft Nicki Minaj) = 8 Votes iGk5fR-t5AU Welcome to Round 12 of Least Fave Katy Perry Single and the latest casualty to lose it's place is her latest single 'Swish, Swish' which features rapper of the moment Nicki Minaj (who basically features on everything these days). After the spectacular failure of her last single 'BA', this came rather sudden and looked set to be another flop, up until the music video finally got released and then it shot up the charts everywhere (mostly), so while I wouldn't call this a smash hit per say, but more of a moderate success. I don't care what Katy Perry says, YES this song is aimed at her long-time nemesis Taylor Swift, whose taken stabs at Katy herself with 'Bad Blood' (which is arguably the better song). To be honest this is just way too generic to land any blows and this just seems to be a desperate attempt at re-creating 'Dark Horse', but with none of the flair or charm. As for the music video, which upon first viewing I thought it was okay, but seeing it again, well.. It's just dire and unfunny with Katy desperately trying to pull silly faces to express her quirky charm, but just falls flat and the whole thing is just an unfunny mess. The best part about the song is Nicki's rap which does liven things up towards the end, but comes as too little to late, as this just like the 'Witness' album, a total disappointing mess. As for the other results, every song bar 2 got votes. 'TOTGA' got the 2nd highest amount of votes with 7 which is kinda surprising considering it's never had more than 3 votes in any of the previous votes. 'CG' got 5 votes, while 'WUIV' & 'WA' both got 4 votes each. 'TD' &'LFN' got 2 votes each, then finally 'HNC', 'Firework' & 'DH' each got 1 vote each. 'Roar' and 'Chained To The Rhythm' were the only ones not to gain any votes. Same rules apply just vote for your least fave by the next round. Results: 13th. September 13, 20177 yr Voted for 'California Gurls' again. The video is a highlight of hers but the song itself is nothing to write home about. 'The One That Got Away' cannot go yet :(
