Gosh she knows how to bring it with second singles! :o

Poker Face and Telephone are outstanding and put her on the map for both eras!

First two singles are out of this world. Judas, MR and Telephone are all very decent but I don't stan them like I do most of her material ~

it's difficult when 4/5 are 10/10 songs. Having a classic like Poker Face that low seems criminal. Do What U Want has always been a little overrated in my eyes and I prefer Applause unlike most people but it's still a good song and single worthy imo.

Pretty much agree with that (although 'Do What U Want' and 'Judas' are interchangeable).

Jesus what a tough job to rank all these!

DWUW is still a 9, Million Reasons has really come to be one of my Gaga faves but Poker Face obviously wins out here <3

01. Judas ~ Absolutely STORMING song, I can't believe I was underwhelmed by it on first listen! The production on the verses is insanely good, thankfully the bold verses lead into the pretty light and fluffy chorus quite naturally. Fabulous middle 8 as well. When you thought things couldn't get any better, she then delivered a killer video too *.*

02. Poker Face ~ THE song and video that got me into Gaga. Gosh her videography is so good isn't it?! 'Poker Face' houses an earworm of a chorus and some iconic lyrics scattered throughout like "bluffin' with my muffin" *.* never ever got the comments about it being a 'Just Dance' clone as it always hit me so much harder than that. It's very of its time but I'd still happily listen to it now.

03. Telephone ~ A comedown from the behemoth that was 'Bad Romance', but still so much fun. On the other hand, the video was an improvement as it's my favourite Gaga video ever! It was such a talking point at the time.

04. Do What U Want ~ I really was not expecting something like this from her at the time. But she totally pulled this kind of single off! Effortlessly smooth.

05. Million Reason ~ Ranked last here but it's still a highlight from the Joanne era so basically she just kills it with the sophomore singles! A really beautiful, stripped back and emotive effort from her that is particularly a joy to listen to in the winter months.

Judas is bottom of ANY list - utter steaming PAP.

I am EMBARRASSED to be caught listening to it by the time that cheesy CHEESY chorus um 'hits' like the slap of a damp fish across a fisherman's leathered face. Cheesy Steps-lite tinny dinky-dinky-dink nonsense.

Judas

Million Reasons

Do What U Want

The top 3 in particular is stellar. 3 of her absolute finest. 'Poker Face' is obviously amazing too, and whilst I enjoy the song, I feel 'Telephone' is just slightly too generic/basic compared to everything else she's released.

EASILY "Do What U Want" followed by "Poker Face".

"Million Reasons" would probably rank third/fourth with "Telephone" and "Judas" last.

Telephone I find quite bland now, although I do still enjoy it. It doesn't really go anywhere to explode at any point so it's definitely in the lower quarter of her singles.

QUEEN OF SECOND SINGLES

BAL DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE MY CHILDREN!!

CHOOSE BITCH

Also Telephone is bland.

Except from Poker Face and Million Reasons and DWUW, her second singles are crap.

I wouldn't say CRAP but they are often the overrated ones :') Telephone and Judas I mean (and MR I guess lmao) ~

I always felt with 'Telephone' it could literally be anyone singing that, it has no individuality and none of Gaga's character which shows through in just about everything else she's done. I agree it's also bland.

I do understand that criticism tbh. Wasn't 'Telephone' originally a Britney demo?
