17th with over 250 points :o

The ultimate perfect symmetry, that’s exactly where Believe Again finished for me and Delta in the very first contest! What a narrative arc. Who could have foreseen what would happen in between those bookends!

Omg I was laughing all along at pessimistic Jade, 6th in the semi and EASILY through  I love having the inside intel.

!!!! ffs I really have no clue

Wow, I thought Francis would have scraped through in the semi and then progressed in the final to somewhere in the 20s (that was becoming all too common lately ) so my expectations have been surpassed and then some! :o Like... 12 points off top 10?! That's crazy! So thrilled that 'See Her Out (That's Just Life)' has become my 3rd biggest hit of the year position-wise behind BÖ and Tearist  2nd highest points-wise with this being such a huge contest. Thank you to everyone who voted for me this time <3 no 18s but most of my points seemed to be big for once rather than picking up loads of small points!

That winner though!!! Omg this is only the second time that my 18 has won after 'Habib Galbi'! Yessss Leww  truly the king of BJSC, I don't know how you do it.

Thank you so much for all of the work that you put into this edition, Liam! Sorry that I couldn't follow it live but I fully intend to catch-up with the whole thread soon.

Haha, congrats Lewwww - it seems almost prophetic!

And so happy at 28th (or basically anything above the blanket bottom 10 predix!)

So that’s every single spot in the 11-16 section logged in, now I need an 8th to make a larger link! [/jade]

Also 9th, 10th AND 11th in the span of a year :o

As for my own result, I am absolutely THRILLED with 20th, I honestly expected 30 something  I thought it was a bit too "basic" and pop for BJSC as it is now, but I had to send it as A) aussie flop lolz, B) Queen Ricki and C) it felt so rightwith the Australian gay marriage vote, it feels like an anthem for it almost  Rounds off a really good BJSC year for me success wise if we exclude Fracture which I kinda regret sending and it flopped, and Odiosa for breaking my streak ofc </3

Also really happy with the whole top 10 really on the whole wasn't so keen on TRST but that's just not my thing, wd Lew of course for winning and I couldn't hand over to a better host *.* I'm thrilled US Jack made top 10 in the end as it was a huge grower I wish I'd pointed, but turns out it didn't exactly need it :kink: The one in the top 20 that's criminally low is Taahino, yet another "should've" been top 10 that feels HUGE and just didn't quite do it, but another top 20 is fab!

Thanks again to the 87 nations for competing in this and following the results, I really enjoyed hosting as stressful and mammoth a task as it was at times  It was fun to put a spin on things with it being 100 and do some extra bits to celebrate, and you all pulled out the bag for an amazing bunch of songs on the whole!

Omg yessss not last :cheer: thanks everyone that gave me points
Actually if I was gonna finish low that's the exact position I wanted to finish :cheer: now have a 10th, 20th, 30th & 40th on the books *_*

You should have done better! I enjoyed your entry. I know some people didn't like the vocal on plug though, I thought it was OK though!

Semis (and final spreadsheet) here

Some tidbits:

- Altyr and UVLand won the semis, Altyr absolutely SMASHED it and I lowkey thought they might win as a result lmao, I did kind of feel like Aeroche had the power as soon as Lew showed me the song though.

- Aeroche were a narrow 3rd in their semi, and D'yermak'er were 2nd.

- US Jack had a huge leap from projected 27th to actual 6th. meanwhile Ojnoj had a huge fall from projected 12th to actual 31st.New Lexico similarly did a lot better than projected (44th).

- Pupok only qualified because of Umiiruka's deduction.

- Tinnmark was the country who beat Farahtyn on the tie.

Thanks Liam for an excellent solo hosting debut, has been an enjoyable milestone contest! although lowkey looking forward to the contest returning to a more manageable size after the 30 dropouts between now and January

brb for like an hour then I'll be back to leave an essay about the final results lol

Yeah that's fair, at least it attracted some high scores which I always think is better than if your entry garners a high volume of smaller scores.

Noooo 11s from both Ajanaeda and Mezidinia in the semi and then neither voted in the final </3

Really impressed with that semi points haul.

Lmaooo too right, it was nice to have loads of us back to celebrate the milestone but it was a bit of a slog at times both as a host and participant, a bit bloated, but like we couldn't have limited it or anything for the spirit of BJSC and it was an experience nonetheless that was something else unique to 100 :P
