As in the thread title, which Pink song was the first you felt you had a connection to? Was it the song that made you a fan?

For me, I think it was Don’t Let Me Get Me was the one. I was 13, not amazingly happy in school, didn’t feel like I fitted in and I heard this song on the radio and it was one of the first times I realised I wasn’t so different to loads of other people and that others felt a bit like outcasts too. From this point on I respected Pink a lot more than previously and soon became a massive fan.

I'd say Don't Let Me Get Me too, not so much that I related to it but it was much more personal than her previous singles which made it stand out. It was the song that made me a fan, even though I liked everything else I'd heard from her too. I connected with Family Portrait too for the same reason.
For me it was there you go. I was going through a bit of an r&b phase at the time and listening to a lot of tlc so when I first heard there you go I was hooked. Over a short space of time my music taste changed to a more rocky sound which fitted with Missundaztood which is why I love the Miss and TT albums. I love rock Pink 💕

Rock Pink is awesome. Try This was her first album I bought.

Missundaztood was my first, I saved up my dinner money at school to buy it  my mum used to give me £1.20 a day, I’d spend 20p and save the £1 to save and buy music

OMG what did you get for 20p? At our school ketchup was about 10p.

Just Like A Pill was the first song that really made me take an interest in her and led me to buying my first Pink album.

I think it was probably some mini sausage roll, or a north staffs cheese oatcake

The things I do for P!nk  even starving myself at school

Whilst I liked some of the stuff from her first album, 'Don't Let Me Get Me' was the first track I really liked from her.
For me it was There You Go, I loved her attitude and her style. What really made a fan was Just Like A Pill though!

Don't Let Me Get me, Just Like a Pill, Family Portrait. I think I heard Just Like a Pill first of those three though so that would be the one.

Her first album I actually bought though was I'm Not Dead and pretty much all of that album resonates with me hard, the title track especially.

I think Missundaztood reached quite a lot of people at the time, particularly teenagers.

Try This was my first Pink album, I was living for rock Pink at the time!

I agree about I’m Not Dead, I think it will always be my favourite album of hers. It reminds me of an amazing time in my life and it’s just so good!

I discovered 'Just Like A Pill' at a friend's house on SingStar and was immediately hooked! I then found my parents' copy of 'M!ssundaztood' and spammed that CD every morning before school for a while, in addition to Busted's debut. Good times.
Don’t Let Me Get Me was the first song that really grabbed my attention from Pink and Just Like A Pill was the persuasion to purchase the album.
it seems a lot of people connected with Don't Let Me Get Me, which is funny because Pink doesn't like that song anymore :nocheer:

Why not? :(
