Not the way TT did it. On some songs, they've mixed old vocals with new vocals, on other songs they've completely changed the arrangements, we have great duets, interludes, non-hit songs intermixed with the classics, bits of interviews, 3 new songs and so on. They've really put effort into making this kind of album different. They didn't want to do a GH album in the first place, but the record company forced them and so, they did it their way.

Definitely the way forward with greatest hits collections now you can just make playlists of the hits on streaming services. Evanescence did a similar thing with their last album.

Some of the new versions don’t sound that different from the originals, so still works well as a hits album rather than a full reinvention of the songs. Would be nice to see an album breach 100k in a week. Sad we haven’t had any manage it this year.

Not sure where to post this as Friday Chart Predictions isn’t open yet, but Mint Royale has posted that Take That have sold more than Michael Buble’s entire first week sales on Friday.

:o with hardly new material on it apart from 2 new tracks, I wasn't really expecting huge sales for it.

So what they sold 70k on 1 day? On their 2nd week? Why apart from BF?

A year old album (TGS) overtaking a two week old album (NOW 101)

It’s awesome isn’t it B-)

Seems this Xmas will be a year when sales have got so bad and there's nothing that connects with the public so that the years biggest album gets the Xmas no1. Didn't Ed do this before?

X did it in 2014. Luckily, Eminem denied him the Xmas double last year

I read it as "he's a sellout" and totally agreed :D

Mariah albums following the Mariah night on Channel 5:

#75 - Merry Christmas

#95 - Greatest Hits

#196 - #1 to Infinity

#243 - Glitter

#273 - Caution (2 hours ago this was #1396!)

#459 - The Emancipation of Mimi

#668 - Merry Christmas II You

#950 - Music Box

Little Mix seem to be having a strong gift card effect already! They've gone from top 60 up to top 15! :D YES GIRLIES!!!

Ariana up to 5 with sweetener.

Should climb too as Buble and Now Christmas are ahead.

I hope this ensures a big climb on the album charts this week for her.

Also great to see ASIB remain in the top ten. It was #2 earlier in the week on iTunes currently at 6 but should overtake the Christmas albums soon.

LM5 should be top ten again soon too

Drake at 21 is the highest I’ve seen that in a while too guess it’s the price tag helping out.

Rita really should’ve reduced price as it could’ve ensured a new peak for her in the new year unless she’s waiting till January she’s currently at 75.
