ACR makes you have a big drop, 4-16 in the case of dua, but then songs stabilize and maintain position or drop very slowly,

Not always the case. Quite often, we see songs hit ACR and fall out of the top 40 a week or two afterwards. Only the really huge hits seem to last any longer than that - Havana, rockstar and New Rules are all examples of that.
