ABBA GOLD: SURVIVOR

I’ve taken it upon myself to launch my own survivor poll type thing, this one is for one of the biggest selling album of all times and also (sort of) coincides with the buzz around Mamma Mia again. The rules are simple please vote for YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE and every couple of days I will eliminate the song with the most votes until we have a winner.

19th Place - I Have A Dream (6/23 votes, 26.09%)

Next one out is yet another ballad, possibly a theme occuring here... It's also the first of their UK #1s to fall out. It was released in 1977 and features shared vocals both from Frida and Agnetha.


One of Us looks to be in most trouble as it got the second most votes (5), Does Your Mother Know repeats getting 3 votes in this round again, Voulez-Vous and Thank You For The Music both got 2 votes, whilst Dancing Queen, Take A Chance On Me, Super Trouper, and Chiquitita all picked up a solitary vote.

Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes It All, Money x3, SOS, Fernando and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! all remain unvoted for.

Anyway, I've gone for Does Your Mother Know this round.

DYMK - not only a Bournemouth bar, but also a daft single - the B side Kisses Of Fire is much better.

'Does Your Mother Know' is a pretty annoying one so not too sad to see that leading x

I thought Does Your Mother Know would be much more popular! It's good but it's not in my top half of this album and is overrated in the GP's opinion.

I vote for Does Your Mother Know. Strangely I like the version by B*witched, just not ABBA.
