It is an absolute fave of mine, so timeless and something so emotive and joyous about it, it really is such a special song and I thought it would be a bit higher but I suppose it's nothing against the iconic hits 'Untouchable' by Girls Aloud and 'Ego' by The Saturdays which are still to come :(.

It however still remains to be a fan favourite as evident here. It's not a huge fave of mine and I think it is slightly overrated by their fans but it's still a cute song, they just have better imo.
April 22, 20187 yr That (over the past year) has overtaken Call The Shots as my favourite song from Girls Aloud :o I find it so euphoric and ethereal and the "forty stories tall" hook is life-enhancing. Album version ONLY though.

A huge video plus Stormzy and it just being a great pop song lead it to being one of their biggest hits this era. It was always a favourite of mine on the album - even the ridiculous 'MOTORBIKE' bits made me love it, the video really brought it to life fully. It'll be interesting to see how this holds up over time and if it would be ranked so highly if this was to be done a few years later however!

No No No...'. It was a Top 5 hit for the girls but unfortunately didn't stay in the charts too long. The moody sounding intro by Cheryl (still the best thing she's ever done, or one of) to the fast paced energetic chorus / rest of the song held up mostly by Nadine makes this song so special. I still go off to it on a night out and is still one of my faves by them, pleased to see it still well remembered.
April 22, 20187 yr Sexy! No No No... is absolutely PHENOMENAL and it deserves SO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS
April 22, 20187 yr 'Stop' has always been my fave Spice single. What an incredible pop song. Gutted it missed the #1, but ended up being one of their longest charting hits judging by that run :o 'Waterfalls' has always been a classic (No Scrubs - Waterfalls - Unpretty are their holy trinity imo) but it was breathed a new lease of life, thanks to it's incredible use in 'We're The Millers'! I feel like it's taken on a similar cult like status to 'A Thousand Miles' when that was used in 'White Chicks'. Riiiiight... When I said "I would welcome an influx of GA leaving now".. I DIDN'T MEAN TWO OF THEIR BEST SONGS!!! WHAT THE HELL BUZZJACK. :( 'Untouchable' is my fave GA song. I prefer the album edit, but I really don't mind the single edit as much as others seem to either. 'Sexy No! No! No!' is a genuine classic I think. It's aged surprisingly well imo. Yaaaas for 'Power'. I still really love it atm, but I feel like it's gonna be the one to age quite badly in the future. I guess only time will tell on that!! What do The Sats and GA have left?
April 22, 20187 yr Author The Sat have Ego, Higher & Up and GA have Call The Shots, No Good Advice, Something Kinda Oooh, Sound Of The Underground and The Show.
April 22, 20187 yr If I’d have voted Sexy No No No would have had my 11. Best girl band song ever imo!
April 22, 20187 yr 'Ego' higher than 'Sexy! No No No...'? I'm so done :( the latter is a masterclass in noughties girl-group perfection
April 22, 20187 yr The Sat have Ego, Higher & Up and GA have Call The Shots, No Good Advice, Something Kinda Oooh, Sound Of The Underground and The Show.Ooh they don't have as many as I thought lmao. If CTS, NGA & Up could leave soon, that'd be grand. Everything else I don't mind :D
April 23, 20187 yr I'm so pleased Sexy No No No is this high! I don't feel like it always gets the appreciation it desveres, it is a prime example of what GA at their height were capable of and only they really could have pulled it off. Power certainly is an anthem too, such a huge track!
