April 9, 20187 yr Kylie plugged the vinyl and cassette on the One Show tonight so should see an increase in those. Those signed cassettes released this morning are going on eBay for £80+ already.

April 9, 20187 yr Praying ‘Dancing’ can snatch a week Top 40 - I don’t care if it’s 40-Out but it deserves a place seeing as it has held up so well, also it seems more like a genuine Kylie hit rather than a fan base one and seems to have appealed to a bigger market than some of her previous releases. I definitely feel like Dancing will have more of a legacy than a lot of her high charting singles, even without the high chart position. It has had great longevity so far and obviously has left enough of a mark to get good album sales.
April 9, 20187 yr Yeah Dancing was a minor hit of sorts I guess. It could have been a more significant hit with just a little bit of streaming data from Spotify playlists and some commercial radio AirPlay (I know Heart played it for a couple of days).
April 9, 20187 yr It isn't a huge hit but it's at least done better than Into the Blue (a #12 hit but before streaming data counted and on preorders) which is great for her and certainly had a good effect on the album.

I definitely think in terms of overall impact and awareness it has surpassed 'Into The Blue' (despite the vastly differing chart peaks), and will leave a greater legacy.
April 9, 20187 yr Sorry but Dancing is not leaving any legacy . No one knows it now let alone in years to come. I hope she gets the number 1 album tho . I have just purchased her sisters NN limited edition vinyl , now that is an album !!!

April 10, 20187 yr Song is not as catchy as God's Plan etc, will still do well though. God's plan is not even remotely catchy...it just happened that Drake is performing it, if it was by any other rapper it wouldn't hAve dented the charts...

Yes, I'm sure this song that set streaming records and spent over two months at #1 on both sides of the Atlantic (not to mention basically everywhere else as well) was just charting not because anyone liked it or thought it was catchy, but just because it was by Drake. That also explains how his last single before it did the same thing rather than missing the top 10 and meandering about the 20s for the rest of its brief run before disappearing to ACR.
April 10, 20187 yr God's Plan is extremely catchy. The new one is too, but to a lesser extent and mainly because of the sample/beat (so far).
