April 12, 20187 yr Dancing is currently on 6,579 with 1,051 sales yesterday. She'll probably have to sell around 8k for no 40, so she'll need to increase her daily sales today.
April 12, 20187 yr If today’s streams end up missing from tomorrow’s chart like they sometimes do, Calvin could get #1
April 12, 20187 yr Thu streams are never missing they're estimated instead of the real data but never missing It's between Drake and Lil Dickie, with Drake clearly having an advantage, Calvin/Dua have no chance
April 12, 20187 yr Isn't a mix of pop and country quite common? :P I mean Taylor Swift managed it for a few albums quite successfully. SHania Twain left dead at being overlooked in favour of that snake.
April 12, 20187 yr Will buying the EP on her website count as one sale or four? you could buy 3 of the remixes for 59p each :)
April 12, 20187 yr Come on Drizzy, we're all behind you :cheer: Not sure if Nice For What will do it, is it maybe *too* good to reach #1 in 2018? Always cool to see a close chart battle though, with likely a thousand sales or so between them!
April 12, 20187 yr Author Not sure if Nice For What will do it, is it maybe *too* good to reach #1 in 2018? I mean it would be the worst #1 in a dire year for #1 singles so... no :basil:
April 12, 20187 yr Drake coming to have the 2 best #1s of the year so far *.* (not that that's hard considering what the non-Drake #1s of the year have been)
April 12, 20187 yr just checked cos I couldn't remember from memory so the UK #1s this year have been: Ed Sheeran - Perfect Eminem ft Ed Sheeran - River Drake - God's plan Rudimental ft Macklemore & Jess Glynne - These days Lil Dickie ft Chris Brown - Freaky Friday I would rate all of these below 4/10, terrible year for #1s so far
April 12, 20187 yr Who knew Drake would struggle to make number 1? Maybe because it is less Spotify friendly (ie. chilled, suitable for background music) than God's Plan it is flopping! The length of this thread too! :o I assume in three weeks we will have a Friday chart predictions thread just as long, if not longer when Ariana releases!
April 12, 20187 yr I mean it would be the worst #1 in a dire year for #1 singles so... no :basil: Not worse than 'God's Plan' though?! I think it's more instant than that at least! I'm not really here for Drake most likely having another 10 week #01 but hey, that's the state of the charts right now. I'm not even entirely convinced Ariana will do it sadly, but I am pessimistic when it comes to these things.
April 12, 20187 yr I can see it now... Perfect is at #40 with Dancing just behind at #41 Very unlikely considering Perfect is as high as #31 in the update. :P
April 12, 20187 yr Have just downloaded that Kylie EP  I woudn't forgive myself if I hadn't and she missed by one copy. Don't really need it as it's on Now 99 and Golden but...I guess the Initial Talk remix is nice. It's a bit frustrating that it's taking such a herculean effort to get Dancing into the top 40, and it still might not happen, when bloody Santa Baby slid in mostly just based on passive Christmas playlist streams. Edited April 12, 20187 yr by gooddelta
April 12, 20187 yr I would have ended up getting both later for a variety of reasons but have grabbed the 59p of "Dancing" and the Anton Powers radio edit today... there's 2 sales. :P
April 12, 20187 yr Here's a question, if you download a song on Spotify for offline listening, does that count towards the chart at all?As far as I am aware it does but you have to reconnect to Spotify online for usage data to be transferred. The maximum Spotify used to allow for this to happen was 30 days - after which the download would then not play without further authorisation - but whether waiting that long to upload the data would still allow all plays to count towards the chart I'm not sure about. To be on the safe side I would ensure the total plays data is transferred before midnight Thursday morning in the week you listen to the song to have the data count towards the chart for that week (when it will presumably count towards the 10 plays daily limit? I don't know the answer to that either). Edited April 12, 20187 yr by Robbie
April 12, 20187 yr Love that so many of us are buying multiples of Dancing for her to snatch that #40 entry  Will be so disappointed if it ends up at #44 or something!

Good to know something so simple as downloading them on Spotify helps with a few sales for Kylie.
April 12, 20187 yr Love that so many of us are buying multiples of Dancing for her to snatch that #40 entry  Will be so disappointed if it ends up at #44 or something! didn't someone say it was 600 copies ahead of 41st as of yesterday? Surely she has sold a load today again + a few streams. will 5 people really overtake her? probably sold more yesterday and today than the other days.

Surely she has sold a load today again + a few streams. will 5 people really overtake her? probably sold more yesterday and today than the other days. Don't forget she fell back from 28 to 35 and around 700 sales from Tuesday to Wednesday so it's certainly possible - PLUS an extra day of streams to battle with too, which we know she'll fall back against.
