I wonder when we will next have a 100k+ chart sales #1. The sales look good for the current market I guess.

As nice a tribute it would be for Avicii to have more than 3 songs chart, I am still glad the cap is in place. You only have to look at how many J Cole and Nines album tracks would make it if they weren't. Better to have a cap in place than have mad weeks where you get crazy numbers for all the album tracks, before they all suddenly drop out the following week when people move onto the next big release. Ideally they would amend the rules to only include official singles, but things like that are getting harder to define these days.

The issue for me is still the double-counting. If somebody streams a whole (or most of an) album then that should only count towards the albums chart, not the singles chart as well.

Looks like big week for singles sales..... Kylie on 4.1k and only 34th means she will probably get 7k sales and may not be top 50.....

Golden at 8 with 4.2k though and selling steadily. Should get another week top 15.

4.2k is more than enough for a guaranteed top 10 placing these days....

...and it has! It was just unlucky to run into the behemoth that is One Kiss.

I think it’s fair enough to be disappointed that after what happened last year and what he song embodies, that this isn’t a lock on #1 though. I like the Calvin/Dua song but it’s nothing particularly special imo.

Hopefully she is able to get there in the future but I’m not too sure :(.

I thought the artist cap rule was per album? Is it per artist instead?
Where has the impression that it is a per album thing come from? It has been per artist since day 1.

It's per main artist.

I think that goes back to when the 3 tracks per artist rule was first announced. Some posters here and elsewhere thought it would be per album rather than per main artist.

Yeah I remember that, but are there so many people who paid enough attention to notice that at the time but somehow didn't pay enough attention to following any of the actual charts since then to realise that was wrong?

Estimated week where One Kiss will be hit by ACR? In June?

Late June I think, yes. Little Mix are releasing around then I believe!

Jess Glynne releasing in May too.. Feel like she'll be blocked.. Unless she'll have a slow ascent leading up to summer :-*

The issue with that though (aside from the fact that I don't even know if it's possible for them to separate the two) is how would define 'most' of an album? What if you play the whole album but with the tracks in a different order? What if you play half the album now and then the rest tomorrow? etc.

I think the week for Kylie's Stop Me From Falling top 40 chance is week commencing 4th May

Is the J Balvin & Bad Bunny remix released that week?

And the Sean Paul & Matt Terry remix :kink:

For a second I read that as the Jive Bunny remix

Well the impression has come from the OCC themselves making it up as they go along. Take TGS album that has had it capped at 3 songs charting yet its song are credited to different artists as lead, so if the rule is 3 as a lead artist only why were TGS tracks denied charting?
