Shame about Huddersfield, it has been great to see them in the Premier League, although maybe we'll get a more local team in there next year... :P

We could even get two Yorkshire teams up next season!

Think Burnley will be alright, they've shown fight in recent weeks & are capable of grinding out ugly wins.

Cardiff will get dragged into it for sure, then it's between Fulham & Soton for the last spot. Toon will pull away so maybe Palace are still in with a shout. Brighton up are all safe, only need 3 more wins.

Liverpool have to go for it now, first time they have conceded 2 goals this season.

Deserved win for city tonight - seemed like a team on a mission like their title was at stake (which it was). Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva and the defenders were brillant. Kompany lucky to stay on the pitch in the first half and it was won by fine margins whereas the papers will all be about City. Liverpools strikers apart from Mane don't show enough aggression!

On the relegation debate thoigh Huddersfield are down, without their manager they would be near the bottom of the championship so they've done well to have two seasons in the top flight.

The others could be from a list of 8 teams!

What a match that was! Definitely the best match of the season for sure. It was a nail biting affair from start to finish, so many goal line clearances from Manchester City and of course that included the one cleared off the line from John Stones which was apparently 1.12cm away from completely crossing the line. Both teams had periods of dominance during the match but after all of that the gap is only 4 points now.

It will be very interesting to see if Liverpool have the mental toughness that the 2009 and 2014 sides lacked! Liverpool's unbeaten run is over now and there will be at least one more defeat for them this season in the league.

Certainly a far more entertaining watch that the first encounter - really was a must win for City and they just about got there, albeit with a huge slice of luck!

Just wasn't the same Pool that turned up tonight as the side that beat City on the past 3 occasions. The self-proclaimed "best defender in the world" didn't exactly live up to that tag neither.

Thought it was a great game. Two good teams not at their exact best, but both cancelled each other out. I don't think there is much to separate the teams at all. Unfortunately in these games you often need luck, which ran City's way today. Must say I thought the Kompany tackle was a stonewaller red card, that is a huge slice of luck as it was a terrible challenge. But we're 4 points clear still, City are still chasing us and we have the majority of the first team will be rested for 10 days now whereas City have two cup games. 4 points ahead with the hardest fixture out of the way, I'd take that all day.

Bernando Silva was excellent. The trouble we had was we fell too deep and didn't have anyone between the lines. I think away home home he probably made the call with his midfield and it almost worked.

On paper the only game you might see as a defeat for us is the Old Trafford game. But I still think if you play like you have been we'd be scoring 2-3 goals against you. Our run-in is pretty favourable from here on in, we only have 2 away games against the current Top 10.

The thing that this Liverpool side lacked tonight was Oxlade-Chamberlain. He caused City so many problems in all the games we played. I think Keita is a player who could have caused City those problems, but too big of a risk for this game as he's got zero form. I also thought Van Dijk was pretty good, he cleared up everything and City overloaded their left hand side, rarely the right with Van Dijk.

Far more entertaining second half, Kompany on Salah, a red card for you, Rooney?
I'd be interested to hear who the united fans would rather see as title winners local rivals or Liverpool ?

They would probably prefer Spurs tbh.

Arsenal

Haha fair enough!! Spurs would be a nice story if Liverpool can't win it as they have came up from outside the traditional top 4/6 teams and their manager is brillant who has coached and made a lot of their players better. Hope Liverpool can hold out. The cup games City have in January could either be a good or a bad thing imo!

100% a red. It was an awful challenge and Salah would have been clean through on goal.

Spurs have absolutely no chance unless they beat both City and Liverpool at their home grounds - not gonna happen.

Tottenham say their new stadium will not be ready to host matches until at least March... Most likely that it will open in August with the delays they've had.

I could see it being open the last game of the season, but what an utterly bizarre project. Terrible management, plus I think it's unfair to be moving stadiums almost 2/3rds of the way through the season.

The Arsenal fans are blaming Stan Kronke for their poor recent form and some of them are even still blaming Arsene Wenger even though he's been gone for months now. I've said it before, Arsenal to me are practically no different from when Wenger was in charge but their fans look at Emery as if he's in a league of his own compared to Wenger. I would be surprised if they don't finish 6th again this season, as soon as West Ham scored today I knew that was game over for Arsenal. They barely offered anything for the rest of the match and it ended up being a comfortable 1-0 win for West Ham.
