ABBA GOLD: SURVIVOR

I’ve taken it upon myself to launch my own survivor poll type thing, this one is for one of the biggest selling album of all times and also (sort of) coincides with the buzz around Mamma Mia again. The rules are simple please vote for YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE and every couple of days I will eliminate the song with the most votes until we have a winner.

So I took another age to post the results, and to punish me you’ve voted out my favourite song from the contest, charming! “Voulez-Vouz” was released as a double A-side with “Angeleyes” (an underrated ABBA gem) in 1977 and peaked at #3 in the UK Charts behind The Boomtown Rats “I Don’t Like Mondays” and Cliff Richard’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore “.


”Voulez-Vouz” was closely fought in this round getting 8 points just one more than both “Lay All Your Love On Me” and “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme” who got 7.
“SOS” wasn’t fire behind with 6. “Dancing Queen” next with 5, “The Winner Takes It All” then had 4 and “Take A Chance On Me” had 3, only a solitary voter plumped for “Mamma Mia”.

Went for Take A Chance On Me but only because I knew it would get less votes :P I suppose I'd be happy with Gimme Gimme Gimme leaving soon but only because of the mess Madonna made of it with Hung Up
