for some reason I also thought Final Straw had been a #1 but looks like it only peaked at #3, although it has sold 1,750,000 copies

so guess that's better than having a #1 album like PJ Harvey that ends up selling only 20K total if that

Snow Patrol are a band that feel like they have had more number 1 albums than they actually do as they have a few huge selling albums. Eyes Open is their biggest selling followed by Final Straw, i do believe their Best of collection has sold strongly too.

Yes definitely - even their last Album 'Fallen Empires' opened with sales of 80,072 in November 2011.

I'm surprised the Hoobastank album isn't even Top 100 in the first set of mids.

Their last 3 albums haven't charted in the UK, so I'm not too surprised.

If only someone was able to find the reason for this

Fallen Empires opened strongly but overall sold much less than their previous releases. I think its current sales are close to 400,000.

Shocked at Shawn only at #3 on the albums!
Really? :o Did you not think Snow Patrol would take the #1 this week?

I'm just wondering, coz I expected it to be a Snow Patrol/Greatest Showman top 2 with Shawn at #3. CHVRCHES at #5 though is wonderful news. Hope that secures them a top 10 debut. I was expecting a #11-#14 sort of debut for that

Shawn has gone all out this week with his Promo and also giving his fans priority on Concert Tickets if they pre-ordered the Album should have translated to higher Sales though.

Very healthy sales for Shawn there, nothing to be disappointed about as he's already comfortably outdone Illuminate's first week.

impressive for Biffy :o

Greatest Showman will likely take the #1 again but it'd be quite nice if Snow Patrol held on

Ah dammit, that's probably not enough of a lead for Snow Patrol. :(

Dear god, Anne-Marie is actually going UP?? Please save us Jess.

Light Years holding up nicely and with another 1000 available today it could stay top 25.

Golden top 40 still?

Dear god, Anne-Marie is actually going UP?? Please save us Jess.

Can't both of them just die? (them being the songs rather than artist) then something good can challenge for the top

Let us pray. Oh glorious queen of music Jess Glynne, save us from Anne Marie going to number one when Calvin goes to ACR with your brilliant song, and forgive the UK public for thinking 2002 is a good song.

Psycho has dropped 30 places  from last week's position of #16

I just hope Snow Patrol holds to the #1 spot, another brilliant album from them, Testament  is so good.

I was hoping Ariana might be able to hang around and get the next #1 by default once 'One Kiss' goes to ACR, I didn't expect her to actually be overtaken by Anne-Marie :/ '2002' would be comfortably the worst #1 of the year if it gets there, I'd much rather have 'I'll Be There' even though it's far from Jess' best song.
