August 21, 20187 yr Drake should close that gap with the streams and video views People were saying the same thing this time last week when the gap was similar and had increased since the Monday by a similar amount... but somehow Shotgun finished ahead not just overall but on streaming points. That was despite In My Feelings being #1 on the streaming charts (pure audio streams with no paid/unpaid split) and ahead on Spotify by around 5:4 for some time. Yes, Shotgun was ahead on video streams last week and maybe isn’t anymore, could that make the difference? Possibly, but so far I think it’s pointing to another week at #1 for George.

August 21, 20187 yr I mentioned it earlier but Shotgun is doing double In My Feelings on video streams! Well there you go... someone said on another thread Drake was #1 on YouTube - but it’s a fairly small share of the final total in any case.
August 21, 20187 yr From scrolling through the Wikipedia lists, I think the answer may be the first time 'Three Lions' hit #1 :o 740 Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds "Three Lions" 1 June 1996 1 741 Fugees "Killing Me Softly" † 8 June 1996 4 re Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds "Three Lions" 6 July 1996 1 re Fugees "Killing Me Softly" † 13 July 1996 1 The last one before that I can see is almost 30 years earlier: 262 The Scaffold "Lily the Pink" 11 December 1968 3 263 Marmalade "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" 1 January 1969 1 re The Scaffold "Lily the Pink" 8 January 1969 1 re Marmalade "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" 15 January 1969 2 although the '70s and '80s lists don't show a single song returning to #1, and I'm honestly not sure if that's because they're grouped together, or if there really were no #1 returns in over 20 years. (You'd think the answer would be obvious but I suppose I've never paid enough attention.)The first time a record returned to the top in the Official Chart era (February 1969 onwards) was 'Mr Blobby' by Mr Blobby in December 1993. The number 1s from December 1968 and Janaury 1969 were on Record Retailer's (now Music Week) own chart. Prior to Mr Blobby the closest an act came to returning to the top on the Official Chart was 'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice on 30 December 1990 when it was narrowly beaten to the top by new entrant 'Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter' by Iron Maiden (multi-formats of Iron Maiden's single saw it outsell by Vanilla Ice by just a few hundred copies). Vanilla Ice had been well beaten the previous week by 'Saviour's Day' by Cliff Richard having been number 1 for the 4 previous weeks.

There's a list here that we need to update. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=119356

August 22, 20187 yr I presume there's no chance Calvin closes the gap to #1 this week? He could well get it next week though given his big lead on iTunes and rapid gaining on Spotify. Pleaseeee let Juice WRLD stay in the top 10 this time :P
August 22, 20187 yr Ironically George Ezra went back onto top when weather went cold Sam Smith song is underperforming clearly, was too much buzz from lobby Does this listing include ACR for George Ezra?
August 22, 20187 yr Joseph, may I ask, where you check the Youtube chart? cos I was always checking the kworb link, where it shows Ezra and Drake re even all these days https://kworb.net/youtube/insights/uk_daily.html 1 = Maroon 5 - Girls Like You (feat. Cardi B) 504,169 -49,058 2 +1 George Ezra - Shotgun 412,990 -53,479 3 -1 Drake - In My Feelings 410,344 -66,351
August 22, 20187 yr Sam Smith song is underperforming clearly, was too much buzz from lobby I'm no fan but this quote is a bit silly. Firstly, it is 2018, songs rarely go straight to no1. Secondly, it looks to be no1 next week and could be number one for a long time. Over performing perhaps but under?
August 22, 20187 yr Come on Gabrielle get that top 10 album  glad that shes holding on in the top 10.. she already has 3 number 11 albums

August 22, 20187 yr I’ll finally have something to thank Sam Smith for if he can prevent that ‘Eastside’ thing ever reaching the top 3. Gabrielle should be safe for a top 10 album!
August 22, 20187 yr Biggest shocks of the week for me at the moment are 1) Jess Glynne looking to debut within the T15 (I know she's a pretty big artist, but was there much hype for this single?), and 2) Stefflon Don's mixtape debuting at the lower end of the T40 (I was sure this would get decent streaming numbers, but guess it's been lost amongst Ariana and Bugzy Malone in the new releases on streaming platforms).
August 22, 20187 yr Nice to see Mr Ezra is set to stay number one for my birthday on Sunday. First decent chart topper I will have had since 2012 (which was Sam and the Womp, incidentally).
