Just heard that 'Overtone' track and its great, that sort of dark atmospheric dance is definitely in trend at the moment.
She Knows How to Love Me is like Hey Mama 2.0  Bit of a mess but I like it

It sounds to me like it was originally meant for Demi Lovato for some reason.

LMAO, I listened to it thinking "ooh, that sounds good" - I wasn't expecting it to be... literally Hey Mama, just made slightly weaker and messier. It's so copy and paste

The production on this album is so lazy, SKHTLM is definitely Hey Mama 2.0, Let It Be Me is just Poundland version of It Ain't Me with a Tom's Diner sample to differentiate it a bit and Say My Name is quite Cheap Thrills. It just seems like he can't be bothered and stuck some new lyrics and vocals on a Sunfly karaoke version of songs that worked already

idk why you’re surprised. he’s notorious for self recycling instrumentals

• the I Gotta Feeling instrumental for Club Can’t Handle Me + two album tracks on the succeeding album

• the Sexy Bitch instrumental for Where Them Girls At

• the Turn Me On instrumental for his Jennifer Hudson collab

The album as a whole is trashy but who really expected much more from David Guetta in 2018? :kink:
Ngl this album is full of absolute trashy bops, I really like it! I’m That Bitch is the standout for me on Disc 1 and well if that is a taste of his Jack Back stuff then I am right here for that side project to continue. Really (and shockingly) impressed with this album
She Knows How To Love Me credited with having 15 songwriters and 6 producers

!!!!!!!!!

AHAAHHAA OMG NO WAY

I think the problem with David Guetta is there are so many more younger, more innovative DJs out there these days. Back in the early part of the decade he was an absolute hit machine, but he seemingly got lazy and just uses the same beats over and over again. Big stars want to work with him no matter what and likewise if his team pay enoigh money I'm sure vocalists will be willing to lend their support.

I need to listen to the dance side more, but certainly his pop tunes are often good fun but lack any sort of innovation or real star quality. I think 7-8 years ago you could get away with it as a lot of his big hits while good, are cheesy commercial pop like the pop side of this album but it all sounds so lazy. Like it's already been said, that Jess Glynne track is literally Hey Mama part 2 and it's not even like he tries to hide it.
