Welcome Buzzjack members to the Madonna 'Immaculate Collection' survivor, we've had ones done for her studio albums and just thought that its time to have polls done for her Greatest Hits collections, starting with her first and probably best collection. The collection was released in November 1990 by Sire Records. It contains new remixes of 15 of her hit singles from 1983 to 1990, as well as 2 new tracks (both of which were released as singles). Its title is a loose pun on the Immaculate Conception, the conception of the Virgin Mary without the stain of original sin.

The album has sold 30 Million copies worldwide, making it the best selling compilation album by a solo artist as well as being one of the best selling albums of all-time. The collection turns 28 this year and let's get ready for the latest survivor poll.

Are we to vote in this strictly thinking of the Immaculate Collection remix versions only? A few of them are quite different to the originals. Notably I find the Like a Prayer mix to be nowhere near as good as the original album version, even though Like a Prayer is my favourite single when thinking of it in its original form. Hmm~

Never thought of the originals or 'IC' remix versions, simply think of them as the remix versions on this tracklisting.

 

Think it would be interesting to see how opinions differ between the originals and remixes... I agree that some work for better and for worse.

Not made a decision yet. I'm thinking Lucky Star but it feels wrong saying that's the worst on the album. It's just such a solid collection!
