Let's Get To It again!

Lets Get To It is an album i see why people would vote for.

I like the album in parts and there are a few songs i don't really listen to.

I still enjoy Word Is Out, If You Were With Me Now, Too Much of a Good Thing, Lets Get To It and also Give Me Just a Little More Time.

 

Kiss Me Once

Let's Get To It is largely really cheap and of its time. I know a few of her early albums are of their time too, but not quite reeking of the cheapness like that does.

 

I do kinda like 'I Guess I Like It Like That'.

The album notes and sleeve did appear much cheaper than previous PWL albums for Lets Get To It.

At this early point in round 2 it appears to be a Kiss Me Once/Lets Get To It battle for survival.

I find Rhythm of Love (a massive fan favourite album) now having a vote :mellow:

Upon re-listening for the first time in yonks, I actually really like Let's Get to It. I do get the criticism of SAW not knowing which direction to take the era and it seemed like a constant battle to try and save the era, but the music itself is good. There may be some very different styles on the album but, surprisingly, I find it all comes together rather well and I like the flow between the tracks (I'd say Enjoy Yourself feels more disjointed). Doesn't reach the same highs as her previous two albums but stronger than her debut.

I went for body language again, let’s get to it is so underrated in my opinion

'Let's Get To It' is one of my least faves from Kylie as well and if 'KMO' goes then I'll be gunning for that. However there are a few moments on there I do enjoy such as 'Finer Feelings', 'Give Me Just A Little More Time', 'If You Were With Me Now', 'Too Much Of A Good Thing' & 'Right Here Right Now', and even 'Word Is Out' grows on from time to time, even if it is one of her weakest singles.

For a long time i wasn't a fan of word is out but it has really grown on me the last few years and i would love to see Kylie perform it on a tour even if it was only part of a medley.

SAW struggled with Lets get to it as the singles were all so different which showed they weren't confident with any particular style but as an album i do think it has some good songs. Its her weakest pwl album but its still a far better album than Kiss me once.

Kiss me once, really hasn't stuck with me.... I barely play it now, although I do like some of the songs from the album and Mr President is class..... Although I think us Kylie fans have a lot to thank for this Album as I don't think we would have got Golden if this hadn't been an experiment a bit to far, I don't like the albums that don't have the connectivity running through them.
