UGH SHE'S JUST TOO f***ING GOOD. She hits me with so many (non pun intended) emotions, her voice just hits so many marks. The chorus and the power packed drums made me feel really empowered and independent and then her soft "ahhhh"s have this really wistful feel and have an underlying tone of sadness.

 

This is SUCH a fantastic song and yet again, she'll be overlooked but hey. She did it again, video included :wub:

I'd possibly rank it 'only' upper middle of E•MO•TION, but that wouldn't be fair to completely, directly compare as that is literally one of the greatest pop albums of all time.

 

This though, is brilliant. She has a certain way with songs and it's so, SO good and refreshing. I feel like no one does her type of pop and feel it's very in her own lane sorta thing. :wub:

This is SO bloody good :wub: Just so joyous and carefree, as has been said nobody else makes pop like this and it makes her all the more special. It's not trying to be anything else, but in its simplicity there's so much to pick out as you listen more, little production flourishes that all contribute to a really uplifting and breezy song!

It's... good. Nowhere near the heights of "Cut To The Feeling" and "Run Away With Me". Production is spot-on but vocally I feel like it could have done a bit more.

 

Strong track but I have VERY high expectations from her because of her last era and it doesn't quite hit those highs unfortunately.

Just realised that I never commented on the music video: by far one of my favourites of the year, Carly always delivers a 1-2 with her lead singles and their respective videos and this is no exception.

 

She performed this on Fallon for the first time this week:
