Posted November 9, 20186 yr It is 15 years since 'Slow' come out. Omrp4QR_Rpo UzaDRUtUtA8 This was Kylie's 7th UK #1 and was the lead single for her 9th studio album 'Body Language' This also topped the charts in her native country Australia, Denmark, Romania, Spain. It charted in the Billboard Hot 100 at #91. What are your views on this now and the music video?
November 9, 20186 yr Such an epic song - I have to admit I HATED this song and the whole BL era at the time but Slow has become one of my all time favourite Kylie songs, always amazing when she performs it too. When she sung it at her New York show it was a moment
November 9, 20186 yr Slow was different but different in a positive way and i have always liked it. Body Language as an album didn't fulfill me.
November 9, 20186 yr I've always liked it, but I feel like I hold it in higher regard now. She looks the best she's ever looked in the video. Can't believe it's now 15 years since her last ever number one. It's also Kylie's favourite single of hers too, I believe.
November 10, 20186 yr I'd have thought from what she has before that where the wild Rose's grow us her fave single.I do like slow and it's a sad to think ut was likely her last ever number 1 single.
November 13, 20186 yr I've always liked it, but I feel like I hold it in higher regard now. I agree, with time it has just become stronger and stronger. As a kid I preferred her bigger pop songs so 'Slow' just passed me by, but now it's the subtle, slick production and those seductive whispery vocals that really hooks me to the song. So cool and sexy; I find it's one of those songs that's adored by fans but would also be enjoyed by non-fans, not just in a guilty pleasure way either. The video is a stunner. Much like the song itself, it masters the less is more approach. Kylie doesn't even rise from her beach towel yet she keeps the audience engaged throughout: the effortless movements and looks to the camera oozes tasteful sex appeal. Great direction and camera work too; it all just comes together so well and further proved that Kylie didn't need to do a recreation of 'Head'. The Chemical Brothers remix is one of my favourites. I'm not usually a fan of lengthy remixes but, in this case, you need the 7-minute version to get the full experience. The momentum builds and builds until the production finally bursts, yet there's still that sense of minimalism of the original, I find. GeG9gxxFXGU
