Is anyone else having a problem with their sound of vinyl redemption code? I've put it in to download and it is only giving me one track!

This is such a strong album! Def going to be returning to this a lot <3

10 Sucker Punch

10 Mine Right Now (My fave of the new tracks, so instant <3)

09 Basic

10 Strangers

09.5 Don't Feel Like Crying

07 Level Up

08 Sight of You

07 In Vain (The last minute brings this up a lot)

11 Don't Kill My Vibe (still her best )

08 Business Dinners

04 Never Mine (the only song I couldn't get into)

10 Dynamite (this was always my fave from the EP after DKMV, I'm so glad this made the album <3)

I'm actually pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of the album. Yes, all of the best songs had already been released but the new tracks have been worth the wait overall. My only real problem is Dynamite being included over other, much stronger, tracks from her EPs

I'm pleased to see her looking set for a decent debut in the chart this week, currently #2(!!) in the mids so I'd say she's set for top five?!

Don't Feel Like Crying is a mega pop tume! This is the first one of hers I've properly loved but all of her singles have been pretty decent so far.
'Plot Twist' is still the only song I've really liked from her, I had high hopes for her after hearing that but she's been almost entirely mediocre since then ('Sucker Punch' was decent as well I guess) and they've really ended up not even putting 'Plot Twist' on the album... good for her that she escaped one hit wonderdom and looks set for a good album chart position though, I didn't expect her to be able to pull that off after 'Strangers' had been starting to look like a fluke.
I’m finding this somehow both good yet underwhelming at the same time.

I agree with this.

There are moments, but for the most part, it is serviceable at best. It's very twee and doesn't have much bite.

The album for me is very much like

6-7 out of tens through but nothing above or below

Like no bad songs but nothing jumping out like I need to listen to that again sort of thing.

I've decided that with the new tracks and everything else she's released before that she has enough to make a strong pop album, she's just chosen not to put it all on this.

Remove some of the more filler tracks (Business Dinners, In Vain, Never Mine, Level Up) and replace with High Five, Plot Twist, Fake Friends, I Don't Want To Know (which I'm finding lovely all of a sudden) and possibly Raw.

I agree with the comments that it's a good album at the same time it's disappointing cos it could have been better

The tracklist could have been better but we don't know what goes on with labels, sometimes it depends on who wrote the song, royalties and stuff like that, which we are not aware of

It kind of sums up one of the things I hate about how the music industry works now. These pop females spend about a year or more building up to the eventual release of their debut album, by the time it comes around it's all been re-jigged so much to the point where it feels like any sense of direction the album had has been lost and feels more like a cack-handed cobbled together collection of songs rather than an actual album/body of work.

and now with Spotify, it's even getting worst, cos they can release anything, doesn't have to be a single, just a "track",

then if no one streams it, you bury it and pretend it never happened
