I've always had a big soft spot for 'I Miss You' even despite how ordinary a song it is, it's held up as one of their best songs for me.

 

Agreed, as a passive fan of CB I didn't really get I Miss You until January of this year when it hit me big time, great wee track.

Ariana still consistently above 600k a day and Mariah and the other Xmas tracks maintaining their positions. Sort of thought Sweet But Psycho would have pushed through 400k by now but peak airplay will be the first week of January for me.

It's sounding fantastic for me in its second year. I've also heard Candy Candy Lane being used by itv to advertise their Xmas schedules - also heard Gwen Stefanis song from last year a few times.

 

Kind of annoyed radio 2 don't seem to be backing another single this year after decent support for Santas Coming For Us. They seem to be jumping on katy Perrys new Amazon only release.

I agree about Baby, everyone loved it upon premiere and said it would be a smash.

 

Considering its not great placement on Hot Hits compared to other Clean Bandit songs, it's doing okay though, i think. It's at a new peak of #25 in the mids, and that's with a few Christmas songs ahead.

Interesting that The Pogues have managed to overtake a couple of the other Christmas songs that were ahead on the 1st December update. They obviously won't overtake Mariah or Wham! but hope they can get ahead of Band Aid by Christmas (IIRC they were still the third highest Xmas track on Spotify last year?)

The 2018 Wrapped Up playlists are out, so expecting more hits early on in the year to start climbing again.

I wonder what kind of effect it's going to have? It seems to be bigger than ever this year!

 

Edit: I can see No Tears by Ari having a boost. I've not seen many/any Wrapped lists contain any Drake though (this is me trawling through the hashtag, so it's not just people in my circles etc..)

 

I suspect GP and IMF would receuve some sort of boost though.

Screaming that Today's Top Hits playlisted Clean Bandit Mama, when it's not even a single (yet). Anything to avoid supporting Merna! Baby was the only Clean Bandit single not to get Today's Top Hits support or to be top 25 on Hot Hits UK, despite being #1 on Shazam and airplay! Poor sis!

I think Miley and Ronson could potentially be #1 on Spotify by the end of next week, it’s #1 and #4 on TTH and #4 on UKTH

 

Zara cover and #1 though, each week I keep thinking top 10 is out of reach she pulls through!
