And to plough on regardless is an insult to all who voted Remain as well as the Remain campaign leader who took the old-fashioned attitude that it was best to abide by electoral law.

Guys we've tried this all before and it all goes round in circles. Chris and no doubt many others want No Deal because that's what they voted for (when they didn't). It's now a fantastists idealism. Chris couldn't tell you what No Deal means to him.

 

I've zero sympathy and empathy for anyone that complains when it happens that voted for Brexit. Make no mistake, the poor will be hit the hardest as the cost of living will rise very sharply I can tell you that as a fact as someone who works in FMCG. But I still don't think No Deal will happen, there's no majority for it and aside from the McVey, Leadsome and Rabb I don't think anyone else would actually do it as they know they are commiting career suicide. Boris will say he will do it, but he won't.

Boris says we'll leave by 31st October at the latest, with or without a deal. He'll try and get a better deal, maybe by refusing any further payments to them. Someone has to get tough with the EU and get a better deal.

The EU have failed to show an itemised list of what exactly the UK owes. Also it was the EU that said nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.

 

As it's looking more and more like no deal (thank God!) then the EU will have to forget about the £39 billion or take the UK to court. Bearing in mind the EU's finances will be revealed to the whole world if this happens, :heehee:

I meant before no deal. Boris has said he will use that threat of withdrawing any future payments unless they re-open negotiations immediately, which will be hard, as apparently they disbanded all their negotiating teams just prior to the elections. May wasn't tough enough with them and we need a PM who will be. Time to stop pussy-footing around with them. We have that large sum of money as our ace card as Farage has said too.

But what EXACTLY do we owe? That is what I am saying. If the EU can't prove we owe anything then why should the UK give them more money?

The EU has provided a statement of account to the UK negotiation committee.

 

And as you’ve been telt before, the EU is actually pretty good at keeping track of its cash and requiring detailed and careful reports on spend. I used to manage research finance and a bunch of my researchers had EU grants that required so much special and detailed paperwork that we had an entire team of people just to look after them.
