Adele Chasing Pavements was her best song for me, after that I could not listen to her

Nickelback dude and Arthur have that growl as if they're chronically constipated, Dronan's just wholly unpleasant 😥

James Arthur!

The most hard to listen to vocal for me this year has been Courtney Act on "Fight For Love" though, every time it shuffled on I wanted to hurl my body down a hill in pursuit of a wheel of cheese.

I have to be honest I've been trying to think of any artists who's vocals I universally hate and I'm honestly struggling, even artists who I despise (e.g. French Montana and Drake) have made themselves sound good in some songs.

Jessie J for me. It's the fact she oversings everything and sounds a little bit like she's going to strangle some puppies whilst she does so.

Sam Smith I agree on as well because he just sounds so depressed all the damn time.

OMG YES at James Arthur. Vile.

Any of Jonjo’s faves
lol good one. Kelly's the greatest of all time so.. Try again biiiitch! :o

Jessie J is actually an amazing singer, sorry not sorry. It's so easy to hate on her, it's boring to read sometimes.

I'd say Jess Glynne's voice, really goes straight through me. James Arthur too and I don't really like Rag N Bone Man's vocals either.

Tbf I definitely agree that Jessie has a technically good voice but it's the OTT vocal gymnastics that make her vocals quite unlikable for me :(

this is literally the same problem I have with Christina Aguilera. although Xtina is a much better singer, for both it’s the oversinging that grates me
Definitely agree on the 'oversinging' whether it's a female with a fantastic, powerful voice overdoing it, or a guy with a husky gravelly voice overdoing it. Think the difference is I'd still not be able to stand James Arthur if he wasn't overdoing it, whereas Christina and Jessie can sound great when not overdoing it.
So many people say that Jessie J's voice is very technically good but is it really? Oversinging is one thing but it's absolutely beyond me how anyone can listen to the absolute horror of 'Who You Are' and get any enjoyment out of it. It just sounds bad.

I'd say if anything, she makes it easy to.
