Hi all! A few lil mod changes to announce:

 

Pop: Cameron has stepped down

Indie: Jacob has stepped down

TV: Silas has stepped down, making way for liamk97 to join the team.

 

Additionally, Lindsey is moving from BJSC to The Lounge, rejoining the team there. BJSC will now be back to its usual number of five moderators.

 

Thanks so much to those stepping down! :heart: And congratulations to liamk97 and Lindsey on their new positions!!

Only two mods per genre forum now, I take it there won't be any replacements for those two then? (I think 2 per forum is fine)

Sorry to see all of those guys go but it represents a bit of streamlining and adjusting our mod positions to better fit an active team.

I'm sad to see Cameron, Jacob and Silas stepping down but I totally understand if they feel like it's their time to move on from the respective areas. As long as they're still around in some capacity then it's all good (I guess Cam still has Ariana and Silas obviously has BJSC). Lindsey's swap makes so much sense with Bray's recent addition to the BJSC team and the extra space still there in The Lounge following #bradexit. She really belongs there - I have so much faith in the current line-up of 5. Yay for some girl power injected back in there *.* Congrats to Liam as well, his TV ratings thread is the most essential thing about that area for me, as not much of a TV fanatic but certainly a stats one x

I'm thrilled to be invited back actually, and very surprised if I'm honest! I was given the option to continue modding Indie and BJSC with the Lounge but the latter would be on a more temporary basis however I'm never one to do anything by half and I felt it would be unfair for me to take on two large forums again at once as I have far less time these days and it would only have resulted in me no doubt being neglectful of one of my forums and I didn't want to do that. It was better for me to evaluate the reality regarding the amount of time I'm going to be able to give to the site now rather than finding myself under too much pressure again and have to step down from one of my mod roles anyway :lol:

 

I've loved my time in BJSC and I promise you've not seen the last of me there, I'm still keen to see the spin offs succeed with this current line-up of mods as they're all amazing individuals. The same can be said about my now co-mods in the lounge too and I really have to thank them for wanting me back with them and making that happen, MGMT as well! :o

 

I'm feeling really good about this new era of the lounge and what we can bring to the site :wub:

 

Now all we need is a Paramore forum xxxx

Thrilled to see Lindsey back in the Lounge as I was rooting for her to return when I stood down (although it is a shame that I'm once again back to no longer co-modding with her, lol at us switching roles in the last month *_ x).

 

Makes sense for the genre forums to stick to 2 mods again, aww at Jacob standing aside though, I hope this doesn't mean you're gonna be abandoning us entirely. :'(

Sad to go in many ways but I really wasn't a very proactive mod recently and there's not much point having my name next to a forum if I'm not there all that much. To be honest most of the time I wasn't sure what to do when there wasn't a UP or Nuggets because general discussion is just new releases, which is fine but unless there were reports to deal with I didn't feel any need to intervene as a mod. Also generating discussion outside of those threads seemed unnecessary because discussing new music is the focus of the forum, maybe my approach was wrong idk. I've been pretty busy IRL too, in my final year at uni and working part time (or more, depending on the week). I'm not even all that active on Buzzjack in general, I've felt a bit distant from the site recently. I'm sure I will get more into it again- I get phases where I'm more into posting than others. Anyhows congrats Liam, sad to see Cameron go (thought you'd be in pop forever :o ) and of course wishing all the best to my former co-mods Lindsey and Seven, honestly you'll do fine without me. I know it'll be hard but struggle on, if you ever need my invaluable advice you can always PM me. xxx
