Tbh this is underwhelming quite a lot in terms of success rn :( Hopefully it'll be a long-lasting hit tho (I feel it'll serve longevity but we'll see). The opening week sales in America are  I hope this can go #1 there but low-key think it's gonna get blocked (even if it does, +98 is still the biggest ever climb in billboard history *.*)

Heading for #3 in the UK it looks like. Joe pointed out to me earlier that this is reminding him of Woman Like Me which feels like the most on-point comparison yet (very mixed reaction verging on negative, expected to go #1 but still debuting top 5, similar platform starts)

TAYLOR NATION JUST REPLIED TO MY TWEET I'M CRYING, SCREAMING AND EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!

omg if this means I get invited to the TS7 secret sessions now I've been noticed ahhhhhh full on freaking out

Congrats Sam  will keep my fingers crossed for you! A girl who was in the year below me at school got invited to a secret session thing for 'reputation' with her twin sister and seemed to have the best time ever. Queen of twitter notices - Nicki who?

Well done Sam!!

Me! is being released on 3x 7” vinyl (three different artworks, $7 each), a 12” picture disc vinyl ($13) and a CD single ($3).

No bonus tracks; Me! will be on both Side A and Side B of each vinyl.

They’re only available to preorder for 72 hours (they’ve been up for about 4 hours). They’ll not be shipped until 12 weeks from now, but they will count as sales in the US this week.

Artwork can be seen here: https://store.taylorswift.com/

Debuts at 100 in America ffs :/ At least it'll break the climb for biggest climb to #1 next week if it makes it there
That’s just from airplay alone, isn’t it? It was released after the cutoff date for sales/streams but radio goes until every Sunday. So technically it debuted on the power of 4000+ spins alone.

I must say I'm surprised this is getting a negative reception and lukewarm chart response, feels like a huge pop song?!

'Look What You Made Me Do' was much more self indulgent and a weaker lead single - that feels like it should have had the reception ME! is currently having.

Yep SIO is the only one of Taylor's recent leads to not debut on airplay alone! (LWYMMD 68 and WANGEBT 72 iirc so she's lost two number 1 debuts due to early airplay 😭)

Well done Sam!!

Caved in and bought the one with both Taylor and Brendon on the cover *.* only the second 7" in my collection! (after Sam Fender - 'Play God')

I thought LWYMMD was a Thursday release?

Regardless, it’s not necessarily early airplay but rather billboard syncing their radio tracking periods with Mediabase, which hasn’t helped these types of releases at all since 2015 :P It’s just that Taylor is such a high profile artist that a huge radio deal that gets her 3000+ spins on the first weekend would have been enough to rock the charts alone.

Nope Look was a Friday 5am release! (It may have come out like half an hour early iirc but no more than that). Also that's what I meant by early airplay haha

I really want to buy one of those CD singles <3

The immediate reaction to 'Look What You Made Me Do' was fairly negative as well iirc, Taylor's lead singles don't have a good track record of being well received by the Internet.

I think this'll debut at 2 in America and 3 in the UK. Ffs OTR 😡 Hopefully it'll serve longevity tho, it went back to 1 (uncombined) on US spotify today *.*

it’s not a Taylor swift reaction video without Eric x

😂😂

I'm just glad they didn't get one of the usual OTH's like Brooklyn or Sharon or that one from the 2018 albums EOY video that HATES her like they usually do 😂

The Rep era had pretty massive Spotify support though?

I'm fairly certain the album wasn't available on Spotify for a good few weeks after it's inital release though? Endgame was a massive cherry-picking hit in the making, but it never took off in the way it could have done with the general public.

Vertical video added to the top of today's top hits ❤️💗

I really hope she snatches the American #1 with this incoming spotify boost + BMA's, she's really going for it 💜

I think the fact that 'End Game' bombed despite featuring Ed Sheeran whose name should be able to get anything a hit is a testament to how spectacularly they buggered up the Reputation era.

I'm confused.

I thought this was a massive success thus far?
