It was a sweet duet but a very boring predictable song choice.

I Know Him So Well - the only good things about it are Emma's voice and the fact that Mel C and Emma were dueting in the first place!

It got the album back to #176 in the charts though, slay a bit!! ( :kink: )

 

I've always had a soft spot for the song tbh, I think it's fun. Personally I was a bit surprised at the time by how it performed in the charts, and with hindsight I still am! There were worse songs outselling it that week imo. I'm not sure if anything else would have done much better for her as a winter single, I still understand the logic behind the choice all these years later.

 

It was a bit rash of Virgin to dump her after one under-performing single I think, they were so ruthless. They could have tried again in the spring with Sunshine on a Rainy Day, perhaps.

Hyped for this *.* I've gone for Geraldine/SuBo classique (:kink:) 'I Know Him So Well' - they both sound lovely but the song just doesn't do it for me really.

IKHSW. It's a lovely version, but a bit boring for a single.

 

I felt they were too young for the song too. Isn't to supposed to be two middle-aged women reflecting on their lives?

 

That said, Emma's vocals are gorgeous.
