I don't see a song called Better Man being a hit in 2019 tbh, it's so late 90s (although so are Westlife but still)

It's like streaming heavy acts singing about radio.

 02. Westlife - Better Man

#3 now. Giant is #1, Lewis is #2, and Ava is #8

what happened there? >How come they lasted so little this time?

Yeah not a comeback single so less curiosity downloads

I'd say also worst song, no Ed-connection
I think BM is weaker than HML and that’s effected it. It might climb later as they’re on the Jonathan Ross show

I thought it was another Ed co-write?

Either way, it’s such a formulaic song, it sounds like the ballads they were releasing 20 years ago whereas Hello My Love felt like a more fresh and relevant take on their old sound, offering something to appeal beyond just their hardcore fanbase.

Very pleased that Rammstein are still firmly in the top 40 here!

They should climb again tonight following tonight’s Jonathan Ross

yes, somebody already said that

didn't know ed had written this one too, doesn't sound like Ed at all neither lyrically nor musically

really sounds like a bad Foreigner track from 1983

This exactly. Hello My Love fit well with the current pop landscape. Better Man is just a very cliched ballad that sounds like what they were doing 15 years ago (by this time their sound became rather autopilot). I get why they would release a song like this, but it’s not going to appeal to the current audience like Hello My Love did.

Rise Up was used yet again by a talent show contestant tonight. So why was Andra Day's version never a hit?

17. Billie Eilish - bad guy

24. Jax Jones, Martin Solveig & Madison Beer - All Day and Night (Jax Jones & Martin Solveig Present Europa)

47. Dertee - Fight For Survival

89. Sean Paul - Shot & Wine (feat. Stefflon Don)

119. Ciara - Thinkin Bout You

149. Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved (Future Humans Remix)

208. Georgia - About Work the Dancefloor (Edit)

I think it’s one of them songs what most people know but not many know the name or artist.

When it was originally released was it pushed? I only ever really hear it on shows like X Factor.
