A record-breaking peak UK TV audience of 7.6 million watched on BBC One as England beat Norway 3-0 to reach the Women's World Cup semi-finals.

That is 38.6% of the available audience and beats the previous best for a women's game of 6.9 million for England's 23 June win over Cameroon.

The average match audience was 6.8 million, with 6.02 million for the overall programme.

Absolutely brilliant ratings!

I'm guessing their next match could get around 8.5m, I honestly want to see England women win the world cup just because it would be sensational for pushing womens football in the UK.

Megan Rapinoe is the first player to score two or more goals in back-to-back Women's World Cup appearances since Brazil legend Marta in 2007.

Rapinoe scored two penalties in the 2-1 win over Spain in the last 16.

The other will be the Netherlands against Sweden, as Germany have just been knocked out after losing 2-1 to the Swedes.
I can't see anything other than a USA Vs Netherlands final. If this match takes place then it will be a match between the current World Champions against the current European champions.

I feel this could be a 4-1 win to USA tonight over England...

Although I really hope, I'm proved wrong.

This could pass 10m in viewers tonight in the UK.

Looking at all these English fans 'praying' for a different result today, haha. Not against the Brazil of Women's football. 3-0 U.S.
I'm hoping the England team can pull this out of the bag, we don't want to be coming 4th like we did in 2018, that be like an omen or something against Belgium  Megan Rapinoe is on the bench at the start of the match

Looking very vulnerable in defence. This could be a 4-0 defeat, the way it has gone so far.
Early days, I just hope they get one soon. USA seems to be dominating.
