June 25, 20196 yr He's top 3 almost for certain. Obviously his career is not at it's peak but whose is this many years on? He's still doing quite good for me, I'd love for this album to go Gold at the least...and I hope he spends the rest of the year promoting it and doing more singles (Ground Running is brilliant). The way I put it - 17 years on from Pop Idol, Will Young is currently in line for his fifth number 1 album, real talent wins. Remember those media critics and radio DJs who said he wouldn't last 6 months... :w00t: I have nothing against him and fair play if he does make no1 but think Lewis especially is the biggest album of the moment!
June 26, 20196 yr I seem to recall Lewis Capaldi nicking it a few times at the last minute with his streaming over leaders in the mids. Is that right?
June 26, 20196 yr I seem to recall Lewis Capaldi nicking it a few times at the last minute with his streaming over leaders in the mids. Is that right? Yep i think he's stopped a few...Jonas Brothers, Skepta and Billie Eilish. I am hopeful signings and Loose Women could possibly give him the edge. Will is outselling him on iTunes, but it's the other way round on Amazon. If Will reduces on Amazon to £7.99 i reckon that could help. I'm sure Will himself isn't too fussed, he's had a very long career and even a No.2 would be decent and keep his Top 2 studio album record up too. But i'd love to able to say that 'Lexicon' went to No.1, it is a brilliant album, very deserving and it may also be the encouragement Will needs to keep making music. Great to read he’s performing on Loose Women. :D
June 26, 20196 yr Will's really put hard work and effort into making this a great album, I'd like him to get it! Although I'm not expecting him to.
June 26, 20196 yr This is the most tense I have been for album charts since Emma released My Happy Place! Really hope the signings give Will a boost so he sells a few thousand more it could be close.
June 26, 20196 yr Will has Brighton HMV signing this evening and Reading HMV tomorrow evening (The signings are at 5.45 so should mean more people are able to attend). No idea what a signing would generate sales wise?! 300 copies? He’s also running a competition if you download the £5 MP3 from his website you get entered in to win a meet & greet, tour tickets, Hotel etc.,
June 26, 20196 yr It's week 4...of his album. Yes I know radio are hammering him down our throats day and night :o Week 4 is nothing. He's going to be top 10 for the rest of the year and beyond.
June 26, 20196 yr Week 4? This is going to be Capaldi's 6th week in the album chart, it already spent four of those at number one!
June 26, 20196 yr HMV have just announced on Twitter that Will's Brighton and Reading signings have been cancelled due to scheduling issues.
June 26, 20196 yr Dammit. I personally think this may sadly be due to lack of wristbands taken... Scheduling conflicts, for 3 out of 4 dates are not possible - his schedule would have been checked at the time of confirmation. No.1 seems less than a sure thing now. .. Will let the cat out of the bag on Loose Women...he said he was off back home! Edited June 26, 20196 yr by sajjadali

June 26, 20196 yr Sadly without the signings I think it looks more difficult  Just 800 copies sold for Will yesterday, Lewis Capaldi sold 1.6k. So he outsold him 2:1. Will still in lead, but not for too long. He could miss out on the No.1 but hundreds or 1k-2k copies, sadly. Looks like he will exceed our expectations! I think he'll end up doing 15k+ which is not bad at all after four years away. I'd say if he's not Number 1 he looks almost certain to be No.2. If you want WILL YOUNG to get a No.1 album with 'Lexicon' as he deserves buy and stream as many copies as you can support! :w00t: Edited June 26, 20196 yr by sajjadali
June 26, 20196 yr At least it looks like Will could be @2 Bruce is quite far Boo at Ed extending the lead in singles
June 26, 20196 yr Yeah it looks like Will is heading for #2 unless something major changes between now and the end of the chart week. That's still a really good result for a talent show act from nearly 2 decades ago. A bit surprised that Shawn isn't closing the gap to Ed but I think he'll likely still climb to #1, possibly next week. Hoping that 'Crown' can hang onto the top 5 this week. Also yass at AJ Tracey now being top 20 *.*
