Shura completely free-falling throughout the week! Thought she had enough critical acclaim to debut Top 20 with her album but it will be lucky to make the Top 50 at this rate.

A brilliant album. No accounting for taste

Last week, Ed Sheeran was at 16.7k on Wednesday so another drop in sales for the album.

Thankfully. Wouldn't want to see this No1 until xmas :o

Is there any particular reason why it wouldn't be dropping at this stage?

He performed two sold out 80,000 gigs in Leeds at the weekend?

Wow, Slipknot are holding up remarkably well it has to be said. It should match quite favourably with the run and performance of their two biggest albums then?

Very surprising, but brilliant news! A fantastic album.

...but back down to #10 again today unfortunately :nocheer:

Interesting that the third highest new entry in the albums chart has been different on each update so far  Young Thug climbing throughout the week makes sense as more streaming sales come in, very impressive that he's coming for a likely top 10 album after his previous best position in his own right was #71 (#23 with his collab album with Future but it was obviously Future's name selling that more). Seems like 'The London' actually has won him some new fans even though it seemed like that was only a hit because of the features!

Sooo 22-26k week total??

That should mean Taylor can get the no.1 next week and Lana the week after that.

I expected Slipknot to struggle to take Top 10 this week.

It is performing much stronger.

No, except new single on R1 with Stormzy... but there was discussion if anything can beat it on the first week of September (Tool, Lana, Bon Iver's physical release) so just following that.

And the corresponding album is up week-on-week...!

Not actual facts just showing up the needless Ed hate as usual.

He performs several songs from N6 too and actually in my country the new album had big boost back in July after the concerts.

It's similar situation with Ariana who has Sweetener tour but plays lots of songs from Thank U Next.

Ed hate isn’t needless if you don’t like his music.

Surely most people going to an Ed Sheeran concert will have already bought or be streaming the album so I wouldn’t of thought it would give it that much of boost.

Sure a tour should generate a huge spike in streams

The days prior to the gig Everybody streams all songs from the artist in order to get familiar with the song

Big fan, random concert goer, Everybody does

And sure it generates pure sales too, not all the audience has the album for certain
