Act of Contrition // Like A Prayer // 2.063 First out, was there any surprise? Autotune Baby crashes out with one of the lowest averages i've ever seen on an artist's rate :lol: Madonna pines to be someone's baby, wrapped up and tended to.. and there's autotune for some reason? Lmao. We also lose the jarring Act of Contrition that closes the Like A Prayer album is distorted and warped fashion. It's an interesting song to close such a soaring and at times tender album, but as a song on its own I can see why it isn't favoured here. Do these two deserve the awards as the worst of Madonna's entire discography? August 26, 20195 yr :rofl: Only that could be last place. I was so bewildered by it! :') I found Act of Contrition to be a very abrasive listen. I feel like I was missing something by not "getting it", but maybe it being a harsh listening experience was the point? Idk, but it really threw me as the closing song on an otherwise fantastic album. I intend to listen to the songs again as they're revealed here... is this going to be Auto-Tune Baby's second and last ever play~ :thinking:
August 26, 20195 yr Autotune Baby is one of the worst things I've ever heard from a mainstream act. It's beyond awful and fully deserves its negative average. Jay - if you listen again it will be one more than I have ever done! Act of Contrition isn't great. I guess there was a thing about acts using reverse play as a cool thing at one point in time and it feels very much like an attempt to have something artsy on Like a Prayer for the sake of it, I can listen to it but I don't massively enjoy it.
