Three, Change and Taller in More Ways are much better imo. Also two albums of The Pussyact Dolls slaps Tangled Up too. And LM5 and Glory Days, and debut t.A.T.u record too. :P

No the greatest girl band in the world album, especially one WITHOUT A TITLE!!!, is better than any girl band album ever.

Ooh yes! Change by the 'babes and PCD are great too!

Where are the Glory Days stans? also Fifth Harmony - 7/27

we really do need another huge girl band in the English-speaking market that sweeps everyone off their feet but idk if this is the right music meta for it

I don’t even think it’s Girls Alouds best I’d say Out Of Control is their best and that challenges for me as best girl group album alongside Spice and Spiceworld, Three by Sugababes and Little Mix Get Weird.
I wonder which girl band album is the most critically acclaimed ever — One Touch?

As if someone tried to suggest Glory Days.

Right?!  lm5 too :drama: Salty Mixers desperate for their crap cowell band to get some press!

Pop Life from Bananarama is a great album.

Commercially it did not perform well but a highly enjoyable album.

While its Girls Aloud's best album, its definitely not the best girl-group album; I think I have a favourite but my contenders are Spice Girls - Spiceworld, TLC - Crazy Sexy Cool (amazing check this one out seriously?), Little Mix - Get Weird, En Vogue - Funky Divas, Sugababes - Angels With Dirty Faces & Bananarama - Wow. Even Pussycat Dolls debut PCD.

"Tangled Up" - an amazing album with some really strong tracks although it does lose steam towards the end, but the first 8 or 9 tracks are absolute killer. Call The Shots (one of their best singles definitely this elegant electropop ballad is epic.

Close To Love (joyous high-energy romp), the other 2 singles Sexy (No, No, No) & Can't Speak French - are also some of their best releases, the former was a daring but glorious risk that may have been a bit head of its time with rock, electronica, pop all mixed together in a very experimental way that totally works. While the latter is complete opposite a slinky sultry midtempo number with cool synths & a fantastic chorus.

Girl Overboard (WHY wasn't this a single, a firm highlight & probably their best deep cut with its cool 80's gloss & incredible hooks). Control of The Knife (Another potential single that offers something slightly different to the rest of album with its ska influences & cool synths), Fling & Black Jacks are both also strong offerings & very much in vein of what Girls Aloud are all about, creating great thumping dancefloor anthems.

What You Crying For - Is where this album starts to lose me, its okay but the garage sound doesn't suit them & sounds instantly dated. I'm Falling has some fun punky guitars but not really all that memorable & as for the other 2 I have to give this album another spin as I don't really remember them all that well.

This album should have had at least 5 singles, keep the first 3 original singles & have 'Girl Overboard' 4th & 'Control of The Knife' 5th, that would have made this era even more incredible.

"Sexy (No, No, No)"
"Call The Shots"
"Can't Speak French"
"Girl Overboard"
"Control of The Knife"

CSF is legit the worst on the album :') (It's ok it's just very... basic and the album deserved a better singles run - SNNN > CTS > GO > Black Jacks/Control Of The Knife/Close To Love should have been the run)
No Can't Speak French slander in my forum, thank you x
Can't Speak French was the obvious single choice from my first listen and remains not just an album highlight, but a discography highlight!
It's the pop music equivalent of an STI. Catchy but not any good. x

For me, the 3 killer tracks on here are 'Control of the Knife', 'Girl Overboard' and 'Close to Love' (all waaaay above any of the singles, shame none of them became so).
