Ah, I thought I'd collect them together anyway.

Conservative Manifesto: Get Brexit Done/Unleash Britain's Potential

Green Manifesto: Green New Deal

Labour Manifesto: It's Time For Real Change

Liberal Democrats: Jo Swinson's Plan For Britain's Future

Plaid Cymru - Wales It's Us

SNP Manifesto - Stronger For Scotland

Politics mods feel free to add in links for NI parties as well as minor parties if relevant - Sinn Fein don't seem to have a functioning website and it didn't seem fair to only link the DUP, who also have not released a manifesto yet.

As the major Great Britain-wide parties have now all released their manifestos, let's have a thread. Use this thread for perusing the manifestos through whatever deep dives you feel are appropriate, and for politely discussing the benefits and drawbacks of their policies.

Labour has the greatest manifesto of all time. I'll let Bernie Sanders finish, but it's just a thing of absolute beauty. Unfortunately a lot have been brainwashed into repesting the soundbites and lies of the hard right media.

Thank you for this - a handy reference. :)

Costings documents too - although it's debatable as to whether anyone will trust them... :heehee:

I admit that it's quite good but pity they have the worst leader of all time.

Half of the manifesto for the conservatives is basically just attacking Labour and producing yet again more misleading information about them.

Their costing seems rather off as well. They somehow expect to increase tax revenue from corporation tax by 75% from 2020-2021 to 2021-2022 by keeping the tax rate at 19%?

A firm promise to get Brexit done and dusted by Jan.31st. Sounds good to me.

Not that there's any point in saying this to you anymore, but Brexit will be a long way from over even if the WAB gets through parliament on Jan 31st.

Well Marr said that to Michael Gove this morning and he answered that we'd be officially out on 31st Jan. and no further extensions for any trade agreements to be ratified. Oh and we'd still be good friends with the EU.

If it’s so excellent, why did Scottish Labour vote against the 65% of it that is directly lifted from the SNPs record in government?

Half of it is just bringing England up to speed with the devolved administrations

You really are a gullible fool

Bit upset that there's nothing about making the Draconian WCA any easier for sick and disabled people. In fact hardly anything about benefits at all.

Good that there'll be 50,000 more nurses as well as thousands more recruited from abroad. A lot come from Philippines but hope wife's three nieces who are nurses don't come here as don't really want anyone living with us. Think they go in nurses accommodation though don't they? 20,000 more police officers too is good.

This is an excellent article in the Manchester Evening News about a few key issues for the election. Includes some great quotes from the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police about the 20.000 extra cops

Tell me Chris, who is responsible for us needing 55,000 nurses and 20,000 cops?

Those who have left and less people training for the jobs.

We shouldn't really be poaching from abroad but training a lot more ourselves here. Nurses aren't poorly paid either as I see a lot of them claiming they are.

Well, the government got rid of the bursary for nurses to study here in the UK. So less people here wanted to become nurses. Unless the government invest properly in education and pay, then we're going to have to continue to fill shortages via immigration.

Oh and I have a bee in my bonnet about the housing shortage. Why when we're short of family homes is a lady I know allowed to stay in a Housing Association 3 bedroom house now her husband has died and her two children have left home? I told her straight she should have been made to move to a 1 bedroom flat and she fell out with me. She's not subject to the bedroom tax as she's a pensioner so gets all her rent paid. Is that fair? A homeless family could have that house. She says all her memories are there. She's only 66 so could be there another 30 years.

I have no words.

They wouldn't have that manifesto without the leader though.
