14. Adventure of a Lifetime (10/28 votes, 35.71%)

After many rounds of coming close, Adventure of a Lifetime finally departs this round by quite a large margin, further cutting down on their dwindling post-2010 output here and making A Head Full of Dreams the first complete era to have no singles remaining. I do see why, it's a very fun and uplifting album but overall, the others are much more interesting. Adventure of a Lifetime was the first single from the era and dispelled doubts that they were past hit singles in the streaming era at least for the time being (it may be the case now I guess </3) by being an enduring hit here and a top 20 single in many countries. It's perhaps most notable for its video featuring the band as anthropomorphic CGI monkeys discovering music and continuing their rather quirky animal-related storylines after the travelling elephant Paradise's video. I still really love this, quite easily the best from that era and I'd rank it very highly amongst their material this decade. It's just so funky, energetic and danceable as well as having lots of their trademark stadium anthem singalong moments. Makes me sad that when I saw them live, this didn't exist yet as I imagine it would've sounded amazing.

tom we could have overlooked out differences and voted out all the darkdemon friend but instead you faithfully voted for me every round because of our petty squabbles

(still voting Talk x)

I probably would have voted for Adventure of a Lifetime soon anyway, now Midnight really should be going.

'Midnight' has done well for itself to last this long. Can I ever forgive Jade for aiding its demise? xxx

Voted for 'Trouble' again.

Every Teardrop is a Waterfall cos it's their worst song

crazy how many terrible songs are still left, Speed of S>round never gets any vote thats fake rock Coldplay at their worst trying to be what they're not

Have to admit, I never thought of Coldplay as "real rock".

But yeah, 'Every Teardrop' has lasted waaaaay too long now.
