Hopefully they will do better on the albums chart this week.

Just like to remind people that it's 10 years since the famous Christmas chart race of 2009 between Rage and Joe when this bored went into absolute meltdown and we had an iTunes chart thread over 50 pages long 😂

Actually they always got that long back then as we used to make a new thread every 50 pages before changing it to weekly.

But it was a massive week regardless.

Yeh I checked it out this week there(the threads are closed so couldn't bring them back to page 1) but there were nearly two threads opened for Christmas week . Was class the way iTunes froze after XF until Monday and everyone was saying Cowell has fixed it. Think both just broke it with the download sales!!

I'd estimate that LadBaby sold around 10K yesterday, yes. It did 10,990 on the Friday last year.

Of course if the Official Charts Company actually pulled their finger out and gave us an update, we'd know for sure...

I think it’s probably more like 17/18k because it’s done MUCH better than last year and the preorders were way more!

Think it’s pretty much enviable he’ll do it.

Was thinking that earlier the show is 2 hours on sunday and its just 2 bands battling to be crowned The band, surely there must be a few guest lined up for it

Tones catching up quickly now (will be back at #2 ahead of the Chris Moyles song any second now):

3

Tones and I - Dance Monkey

0.2546 0.2156 0.1838 0.1477 0.1306

Just awaiting LadBaby getting a second (/third/fourth etc.) push now as I'm sure he'll have more tricks up his sleeve.

Seems to be following a similar pattern to last year - LadBaby sold 3,846 on the Saturday (after 10,990 on the Friday). It looked likely to debut at #3 or #4 after which Mark Savage posted this article which then seemed to massively increase support for the track and unfortunately it then sold over 30K on the final day of sales robbing Ava Max of her rightful Christmas number 1. : (

LadBaby needs to do another push cos he's really dropped a lot, it's true the pattern is identical to last year

still not sure what he did on Thursday last year to get those final crazy high sales, was all a bit fishy :o
