I thought she quit when Adele did better ans she couldn't compete?

I remember she quit music in a strop when her second album... didn't perform as hoped, and then she burned her flat down!

Duffy will be lucky to chart with anything new, left it way too long to return now.

I actually think she could have a successful return and they could sell it like a big comeback like when Take That reunited in the 2000s

like first album in 10 years, those always sell

If the quality is good and she gets decent radio support (BBC Radio 2/Magic/Smooth radio etc), I can see it being a surprise success. I can't wait to hear the new material!

While surprising things do happen every now and then, I'm pretty sure this'll go the same way that Natasha Bedingfield's comeback has gone - ie nowhere.

Endlessly was really really bad, I ca't think of a bigger drop-off in quality than the one she had between albums. Well Well Well was particularly horrific, the title track was alright but that's about it! I don't really have any interest in whatever she comes out with tbh :(
Looking forward to this, her first album still remains one of my favourite ever. I did actually love a couple of songs of the second album too but it was not in the same league overall

ohhh very sad indeed :/

That is awful news about the reason for her long absence :(

Rain On Your Parade was brilliant, definitely my fave of her singles.

It's kind of good, and apt though that she is coming back now after Tones and I, who has a similar vocal style imo, had a big hit recently.

Very sad indeed. I hope she can make some kind of a comeback and this will help with her recovery!
