The song spent 6 weeks at number 1 on my chart; longer than any other song, it also spent the longest time on my chart too, however 6 of those weeks were between 31-40 and therefore racked up less points overall. Wish You Well finishes 11pts below Love Again, however the song is an absolute banger and really was the sound of my summer. Sigala… and Becky too have had a massive year on my chart with multiple entries in my EOY. As I’ve said in other entries Becky Hill goes from bop to bop and its good to see she is finally getting mass attention after years of plugging away. I think had my chart been done on my own feelings rather than just on chart points, this would be Number 1, however I love both Wish You Well and Love Again so its an extremely worthy runner-up. February 2, 20205 yr Author 01 = New Hope Club // Love Again= 607pts Chart Run (01-01-01-01-02-02-02-02-04-05-08-10-10-14-17-21-23-26-32-36-38-39) Peak = 1 (4 Weeks @ Number 1) Weeks on Chart = 22 sxo3ukybEfw Which means at Number 1 is a bit of a surprise in the form of New Hope Club with Love Again with is my 2019 EOY Number 1. The song spent 4 weeks at number 1, however spend 8 weeks in the top 2 and a total of 22 weeks in my top 40. Oddly this was number 1 directly before Wish You Well, so it was clearly a good few months on my chart! Love Again was the second song released by New Hope Club in 2019 and was their first and actually only Number 1 on my chart of theirs. The song is just a great pop track and whilst it did nothing officially, I became slightly obsessed with it for most of 2019 and still play it heavily today. I guess not the most conventional of EOY number 1’s given some of the other bops in my chart, however still a great song from New Hope Club and definitely my fave of theirs to date. Will be interesting to see if their album actually does anything when released later this year they’ve not been able to land any hit singles yet. Still a worthy number 1 and a song which did dominate my top 10 for a considerable number of weeks!
