50 = Marshmello x CHVRCHES // Here with Me = 304pts

Chart Run (07-11-09-11-13-13-09-09-19-24-29-34)

Peak = 7

Weeks on Chart = 12 Weeks

Kicking off the top 50 is Marshmello and CHVRCHES which managed to spend 5 weeks within the top 10 and 8 weeks between 7 to 13. The song had a swift exit from my chart and really I’m surprised to see it this high up, but it did have a very consistent chart run before it plummeted out of the chart. I wouldn’t actually say this was one of my top 50 tracks for 2019, however it had a very good run and makes the top 50 by a point.

49 = Martin Garrix ft Bonn // No Sleep = 308pts

Chart Run (18-25-17-23-25-27-20-11-05-08-15-19-24-30-40)

Peak = 5

Weeks on Chart = 15 Weeks

At 49 is another dance track and Martin Garrix’ top ranked song; No Sleep. The song was a bit of a sleeper hit and didn’t reach its peak (and the top 10) until its 9th week on the chart. In total it spent 15 on the chart and had 2 weeks in the top 10. Some of Martin Garrix’ songs can be a bit hit and miss; however, this is a bit of a bop. At the moment Used to Love is beginning to smash on my chart; again a bit of a sleeper hit, hitting the top 10 in its 6th week.

Surprised to see No Sleep so high here! :wub: Really loved that one, shame that it (like a lot of Martin Garrix's hits in Europe) couldn't do anything in the UK.

Nice that Here With Me and Lost In The Fire are up there too.

48 = Katy Perry // Never Really Over = 308pts

Chart Run (12-10-03-06-08-12-14-19-19-24-27-33-38)

Peak = 3

Weeks on Chart = 13 Weeks

At 48 is the highest placing for Katy Perry with her single Never Really Over. The song felt a real return to form for Katy after a fair few misses over the last couple of years; much more instant and much more of a bop. The song spent 13 weeks on my chart and peaked at Number 3, with 4 of its weeks within the top 10.

47 = Craig David // Do You Miss Me Much = 309pts

Chart Run (22-10-03-04-06-10-16-18-18-23-27-32-40-X-37-40)

Peak = 3

Weeks on Chart = 15 Weeks

The first of two Craig David songs to make my chart and they are actually separated by 3pts and just 2 places. Oddly out of the 2, this is the song that I remember preferring much more, however When You Know What Love is spent longer in my top 20. Do You Miss Me Much spent a total of 15 weeks on my chart and had a peak of 3; the song is still one I return to and have to say it’s a shame it did nothing officially.

46 = Becky Hill // Changing = 311pts

Chart Run (08-07-09-12-09-10-12-16-18-25-28-34-36-39)

Peak = 7

Weeks on Chart = 14 Weeks

In at 46 is Becky Hill who has had some bangers in 2019 and even managed to score a top 10 hit officially with Wish You Well. This is the first of 4 tracks featuring Becky to be in the top 40 and is from her EP which she released near the end of 2019. Changing peaked at Number 7 on my chart and spent 5 weeks in the top 10. I don’t think this is as instant as Wish You Well, Lose Control or I Could Get Used to This. However still bop; you can’t beat a bit of Becky!

Chart Run (19-15-15-14-15-09-10-12-14-17-22-28-33-39)

Peak = 9

Weeks on Chart = 14 Weeks

At 45 is the 2nd of 2 Craig David songs, the song peaked at 9 and only spent 2 weeks in the top 10, however it did spent the majority of its chart run between 12 and 19 which really helped to propel it up my EOY Chart. It’s a decent song, however as I said previously if I was to return to either Craig David tracks in my EOY chart it would be the other song :D

44 = Sub Focus x Dimension // Desire = 315pts

Chart Run (05-02-04-06-10-10-14-16-20-26-31-35-39)

Peak = 2

Weeks on Chart = 13 Weeks

Sub Focus and Dimension next with their absolute bop Desire. The song peaked at 2, however spent 6 weeks in the top 10 – I remember loving this at the time, however it did have quite a swift exit from my chart, otherwise it probably would’ve been much higher. However 44th on my EOY is very respectable and its still a song that I return to/ add to playlists if I’ve got friends round.

Peak = 2

Weeks on Chart = 13 Weeks

Kygo and Whitney Houston next who managed to peak for 2 weeks at 2 and spend 6 weeks in the top 10, however it plummeted down my chart after it dropped out of the top 20, however did re-enter twice. I really liked this at the time, however it felt like everyone was basically pushing it as the best song ever and I took a bit of an aversion to it. Still a decent song, just not as great as a lot of die hards on here claim (for me anyway :D)

42 = Foals // In Degrees = 319pts

Chart Run (05-06-08-09-12-15-16-18-23-25-30-31-34-33-35-38-40)

Peak = 5

Weeks on Chart = 17 Weeks

One of my fave Foals track next as In Degrees charts at 42, just missing out on a top 40 position. The song is the highest ranked Foals song and spent a total of 4 weeks in the top 10 with a peak of 5, however spent a massive 17 weeks on my chart. Foals are a great band and excellent to see live too; this is one of my highlights of their ‘part 1’ album and alongside The Runner is my fave of theirs from last year.

And at 41, the 3rd highest New Hope Club song and a song which spent a total of 16 weeks on the chart and 12 weeks in the top 25. It peaked at number 6 in its first week and then was a bit of a slow burn as it continued to stay on my chart. Off course this did nothing officially and I guess I wouldn’t say it was my fave of NHC, however its catchy and got into my head, so here it is :D

40 = Dua Lipa // Don’t Start Now = 328pts

Chart Run (05-04-03-02-03-06-07-07-04-X)

Peak = 2

Weeks on Chart = 9 Weeks (Still Charting)

An absolute bop to kick off the top 40 as Dua Lipa’s return towards the end of 2019 saw her return to my chart and manage to peak at Number 2. The song spent a total of 9 weeks on the chart; all of those weeks in the top 7 and has only just this week left my top 10, so its possible it could make an appearance in my 2020 EOY Chart. The song is an instant tune and miles better than Swan Song, it returned Dua to the top 2 officially too.

39 = Sigala ft Ella Henderson // We Got Love = 337pts

Chart Run (06-05-06-03-01-01-01-04-05-X)

Peak = 1 (3 Weeks @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 9 Weeks

At 39 is the first of two appearances for both Sigala and Ella Henderson. The song was the second single of the year for Sigala following the absolute bop that is Wish You Well. The song however was released in the run up to Christmas and as yet hasn’t gone top 40 officially. The song itself spent 3 weeks at the top of my chart and all 9 weeks so far in the top 10. The song will probably end up charting on my 2020 EOY as its only just left the top 10. Yes it’s a bit Sigala by Numbers, but still a bop and also good to have Ella on vocals after such a big absence.

38 = Wilkinson ft Karen Harding // All for You = 343pts

Chart Run (02-02-04-04-06-10-14-18-21-23-28-32-33-34)

Peak = 2

Weeks on Chart = 14 Weeks

Another dance bop next in the form of Wilkinson ft Karen Harding. Both have worked together before on Sweet Lies, this is very much in the same vein. Again this did nothing officially, however the vocals and drop are great. The song spent 6 weeks in the top 10 with a peak of 2 and in total 14 weeks on the Electro Chart. This is the first of 2 appearances by Karen Harding in my top 40 and the highest and only appearance by Wilkinson.

37 = M-22 // White Lies = 345pts

Chart Run (01-02-04-07-09-13-16-19-18-21-24-27-30-38)

Peak = 1 (1 Week @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 14 Weeks

Completing a hattrick of dance bops is White Lies by M-22; their first number 1 on my chart after a couple of top 10’s back in 2018. The song samples Good Life by Inner City for the chorus and this was just in my head for a good while at the start of 2019. The song spent 5 weeks in the top 10, however 14 weeks in total in my top 40. Considering some chart runs, this is quite low for a number 1 charting single however still a bop nonetheless.

36 = Camila Cabello // Liar = 346pts

Chart Run (01-02-03-04-08-10-10-14-19-23-27-31-35)

Peak = 1 (1 Week @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 13 Weeks

Another 1 week number 1 next as Camilla Cabello makes the top 40 with one of the many songs she pumped out during the latter part of 2019. Liar is a bit of a bop and was by far my favourite of the song Cam Cab released last year (barring her duet with Shawn Mendes which is still to chart). The song spent 1 week at number 1 and a total of 7 weeks (more than half its chart run) within the top 10.

35 = Taylor Swift // You Need to Calm Down = 349pts

Chart Run (04-03-02-03-06-09-12-13-16-22-25-30-39)

Peak = 2

Weeks on Chart = 13 Weeks

From one US female singer to another as Taylor Swift is at 35 with her smash You Need to Calm Down. I find Taylor very hit and miss and usually seem to end up liking her songs which aren’t as successful. You Need to Calm down peaked at 2 and went on to have 6 weeks in the top 10 and 13 weeks in total on my chart. It’s the highest and only charting Taylor song on my EOY chart; the song is great and the video is fun too.

34 = Duke Dumont x Zak Abel // The Power = 349pts

Chart Run (02-01-01-01-04-10-13-18-22-24-26-29-34-40)

Peak = 1 (3 Weeks @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 14 Weeks

A return to the dance bops now as Duke Dumont and Zak Abel make it to 35th place on my EOY chart, which feels a tad low for a song which spent 3 weeks at the top of my chart. Despite the 3 weeks at number 1, it only had 6 weeks top 10 and usually most songs that go to number 1 on my chart end up having massive chart runs. However The Power got slightly old quickly and as a result had some fairly big drops. Still a good song though and it’s a shame that it did nothing officially.
