33 = CamelPhat x Cristoph ft Jem Cooke // Breathe = 352pts

Chart Run (X-04-03-08-07-09-14-15-16-11-18-24-28-31-36-39)

Peak = 2 (Peaked in 2018)

Weeks on Chart = 15 Weeks (in 2019)

The 2nd highest CamelPhat track next as Breathe manages to make it to 34 on my EOY chart. Breathe was actually 82nd in my 2018 EOY chart so has had a bit of a monster chart run. The song peaked at 2 in 2018, however went on to spend a further 5 weeks in the top 10 in 2019 and a further 15 weeks in total on my chart. The song is a complete dance bop and deserved much more success than its top 40 position it got officially. Just Be Someone left for CamelPhat now still to chart…

Peak = 4

Weeks on Chart = 15 Weeks

At 32 is another dance bop… I think my top 40 is like 85% dance at this stage :D Ride It was a cover of an old Jay Sean song and whilst again some have called it basic, it is extremely catchy and managed to peak at 4 on my chart with 5 weeks in the top 10. It remained top 20 for a fair while and is a song which I return to quite a lot, it’s the soul appearance of Regard in my EOY chart and I can’t help feeling that they have 1 hit wonder written all over them…

And exiting just before the top 30 is Strike a Pose; a song which kind off took me by surprise in liking and it stuck around for ages on my chart and is in fact still charting! As I’ve said rap etc isn’t realty my bag, however this song really is catchy and just got in my head. It peaked at number 5 and spent 4 weeks in the top 10, however a massive 18 weeks on my chart. It’s the only appearance of Young T and Bugsey and the third appearance by Aitch this year, with one more appearance still to come!

Also nice to see Shawn, New Hope Club and The Vamps here too - Missing You is one of The Vamps' better songs recently I think. Looking forward to the top 30 *.*

A return to the dance bops next as MK kicks off my EOY top 30 with the song Body 2 Body. This is the highest MK song in my EOY chart and spent 5 weeks in the top 10 with a 2 week peak at Number 3. This song for me has definite 90’s vibes and is one of my fave MK songs, in fact at the moment probably my favourite and a lot better than the much played 17.

And at 29 is the first appearance of MEDUZA in the top 30 and and also the first of 3 appearances by the Queen of Dance bops; Becky Hills. Lose Control was a follow up to MEDUZA’s smash Piece of My Heat. Lose Control spent 7 weeks in my top 10 and had a 2 week peak at Number 3. The song is still charting into 2020, so could make appearance on my 2020 EOY chart too. It’s a great follow-up and always good to have more Becky Hill!

A surprise hit on my chart next as the trio of Post Malone, Ozzy Osborne and Travis Scott had a monster chart run with their song Take What You Want. It’s an epic track which featured on Post’s latest album and peaked at number 3 on my chart and went on to spend the remainder of the year their; still charting in 2020. I wasn’t a massive fan of any of Post’s other singles leading up to the album, so this song came out of nowhere and really leapt out at me. Ozzy sounds amazing on this and is a definite stand out song from the latter part of the 2019.

At 27 is 5SOS and The Chainsmokers with Who Do You Love: I’m actually surprised it got this high, however looking at its chart run, is spent 12 weeks in the top 20 and hang around 13-19 for quite a while. The song peaked at 2 in its 2nd week and went on to spend a total of 16 weeks on my chart. Whilst this isn’t as strong as Youngblood its still quite a good song and is the 2nd appearance out of 3 for 5SOS, with Easier still to come on my EOY Chart…

At 26 is Permission by New Hope Club; their first single to be released of 2019 and the second highest appearance by them on my EOY Chart. The song peaked at 2 and went on to spend 17 weeks on my chart. Possibly not my go-to from them to listen to, however still a good pop song and featuring on their upcoming album to be released soon. Love Again is still to chart…

Kicking off the top 25 is the third and final song by 5SOS on my EOY chart. Easier peaked at 3 and spent 3 weeks there, spending a total of 15 weeks on my chart. The song is quite decent and my fave of their’s released last year, yes still not in the same league as Youngblood, but still a good pop song and catchy too.

Surprised this managed to get so highly, however Aitch and ZieZie’s Buss Down comes in at 24. The song originally entered in the run up to H2O being released and then peaked finally when it was pushed as a single. Again not usually a massive rap fan, however the chorus for this is incredibly catchy and gets in your head. This is the final appearance by Aitch, who has actually had a very strong year on my chart. Buss Down is still actually charting and so far spent 17 weeks on the Electro Chart peaking at 5.

An absolute bop next as its another and final appearance by Karen Harding with I Don’t Want Love. The song was released towards the end of 2019 and its just a great dance song; the vocals are great and drop is even better. Off course this did nothing officially, however it spent 7 weeks in my top 10 and peaked at Number 2. Its only just left my chart this week, however did stick around for a fair while and is an absolute tune!

At 22 is Martin Jensen and James Arthur with their song Nobody; officially this song seem to hang around the top 60 on Spotify for ages, but never got that push to go into the top 40. On my chart it spent a lengthy time in the top 20 and peaked at number 2. It spent a total of 12 weeks in my top 20 and 17 in total on my chart. I still really enjoy this song and I know James isn’t a BJ fave, however the chorus is very infectious and gets stuck in my head.

Just missing out on a spot in the top 20 is probably one more for Joseph; Alec Benjamin with Let Me Down Slowly. The song had a mammoth chart run for me spending total of 18 weeks on my chart and peaking at number 2 overall. Again I find this song quite infectious, especially the chorus which is very instant and catchy. I’ve tried to get in to other songs by Alec, however none of them have really caught me the way this song did. It was just 1pt away from making it to the top 20 too…

Chart Run (04-03-02-01-03-05-02-07-10-10-17-23-27-33-37-39-40)

Peak = 1 (1 Week @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 17 Weeks

Kicking off the top 20 is Shawn and Cam Cab’s duet; Señorita. The song was massive on my chart and spent 10 weeks in the top 10, with 1 week at the top of the chart. The song came off the back of a messy album campaign for Shawn and in the lead up to a messy album campaign for Cam Cab. However the song is really catchy and is a perfect summer smash, it song went on to spend 17 weeks in total on my chart and is a bit of a bop.

Peak = 3

Weeks on Chart = 16 Weeks

At 19 is the first of 2 Mabel tracks to reach the top 20; last year Fine Line managed to be EOY top 10 too. Mad Love was the 2nd smash of 2019 for Mabel after Don’t Call Me Up (still to come) smashed officially and on my chart. Mad Love peaked at 3 and spent 9 weeks in my top 10, for me its not quite as good as DCMU, however still a great song and I last year really sealed Mabel as one to watch for the future. The song had 2 top 10 stints on my chart and what really sees it not go any higher is its swift exit from the chart.

Chart Run (09-07-10-10-12-14-03-05-07-08-11-16-19-26-28-31-36-38)

Peak = 3

Weeks on Chart = 18 Weeks

At 18 is the highest and final appearance of the Vamps this year with their track All the Lies. The Vamps scored an EOY top 10 with Just My Type for 2018, 2019 meanwhile was a bit more of a quieter year for them releasing their EP. All the Lies wasn’t instant for me and the song peaked in its 7th week on the chart in the top 3. In total the song spent 18 weeks on my chart with 8 of those in the top 10. I grew to really like the song and Brad’s vocals work well on all their dance influenced tracks.
