Perez would he go to Haas or Alfa Romeo next year or possibly other ventures. Not really a surprise that he would go, it's a shame. That basically confirms a Vettel/Stroll pairing for next year.

boo poor Perez, I really like him and imho he's better than Stroll+Vettel combined, which are like the couple from hell :/

Great timing I have to say to announce Vettel on Ferrari's 1000th Grand Prix.

CONFIRMED: Four-time @F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel signs up for 2021 and beyond 🖋️

The other driver who’s been tipped for Alfa Romeo is Mick Schumacher, who will make his F1 debut this weekend.

I'd much rather see Illot or Schwarzman on that seat. I definitely feel F1 will benefit from the incoming cost cap, probably allowing more teams, and the currently superlicense system. Hopefully we'll see a grid of high-calibre drivers, with room for young talent, soon!

(We had a few come in last year... But overall, new arrivals have been pretty dry for a while...)

I don't get the "Perez deserves it more than Stroll" line of thinking. Since they've been together at Racing Point, Perez's best finish is 5th. Stroll has bettered that on four occasions, including 3 times in the last 6 races.
Stroll has always been lucky, doesn't mean he's a good driver

You simply cannot look at results on paper alone.

For examples -

In their 3 seasons as team mates, Jenson Button outscored Lewis Hamilton. Would you say that makes him the better driver?

Looking at results alone doesn't take in to account far too many variables that are out of the drivers control

Haas are talking to 10 drivers, anyone want to have a guess who they are?

Perez is (or certainly has been) the more consistent and reliable driver generally and did very well for the team in their previous guise as Force India but he's probably reached the limit of his potential now.

Of course I'm not saying Stroll will exceed Perez there (even though he probably should have won the last race) but as a future long-term prospect Stroll over Perez makes sense even disregarding the obvious nepotism.

At this rate the safety car will have the fastest lap of the race

Honestly Bottas is forgiven for his snoozefest driving for causing that chaos.

Give Mugello a permanent place on the calendar. I have a suggestion of a good half dozen or more we can bin

I’d like it if there was a bigger selection of tracks that had more rotation. It’s good going to different places and old ones again. Could quite easily have a pool of 30-35 tracks to have selected from with a reasonably different calendar from one year to the next.

Keep Mugello would be a welcome permanent inclusion in the calendar. Another exciting race albeit from 3rd place below. Great to see Albon get that first podium, he really did drive well today. Both Italian races have been great. Two red flags in a dry race not sure when that last happened?

missed most of it :/

but whose fault was it? was it Bottas? cos the commentators on UK TV and Spanish TV gave a completely different story
