Very easy to understand the tioaseach Leo Varadkar wanted to commemorate the people who lost their lives in the war of independence 1919-21 that came from the British paramilitary side of the conflict and many politicans said they would refuse to come to it due to the atrocities they caused. So people are downloading this song to celebrate the Irish government deciding to cancel/delay honouring fallen British soldiers? It seems like slightly weird timing, I'd have thought if anything this would happen at the time they actually are doing it.

It is a bit mental that it's went all the way to no1 on iTunes though due to this as it's only really been a story in the Irish media, think there may be a bit of a campaign to get it there. It's no1 and No2 in Ireland.
