September 9, 20204 yr You’ve got to laugh at this point. Half the point of the bill is to stop the devolved administrations complicating Westminster’s dream of a trade deal with the US by legislating to prevent NHS privatisation to yank insurance companies and to stop manky yankee produce with its intolerably low standards and quality flooding our markets by keeping high EU food standards (important for Scotland where high food standards help to enhance the excellent reputation of our produce like Salmon)
September 9, 20204 yr Sorry for the ignorance but how is the removal of the devolved government powers linked to them breaking the treaty signed with the eu last year that created a border down the Irish Sea? These two news stories seemed to have appeared 24 hrs apart and I think they’re linked but missed the explanation as to why? Just saw the SNP going mad on ch4 news earlier!!
September 10, 20204 yr The Internal Market Bill is the legislation that breaks international law “in a limited and specific way” and also contains sweeping clauses aimed at giving UK Gov new reserved powers (things that are currently devolved but in the hands of EU) and allowing them to overrule the devolved administrations and bypass them in direct spending in devolved areas. One of the things it covered is the replacement of ERDF with UK Gov money controlled by the UK Gov and the Welsh Gov are concerned that it means that a controversial project on the M4 in Wales that they rejected would be directly funded by UK Gov and happen explicitly against the wishes of Welsh Gov and there would be nothing they could do about it. In spite of planning and transport both being devolved areas of competence
September 10, 20204 yr Thank you Gina Miller, you beautiful woman. She's just helped the Brexiteers once again with her legal case. The UK Parliament is sovereign thanks to people like Sir Bill Cash and Gina Miller. God is real.

The UK Parliament is sovereign thanks to people like Sir Bill Cash and Gina Miller. God is real. Breaking international law is still breaking international law, whether or not it is legal for Parliament to decide to take such action. Braverman isn't qualified to be Attorney General. Far from it!
September 10, 20204 yr Breaking international law is still breaking international law, whether or not it is legal for Parliament to decide to take such action. Braverman isn't qualified to be Attorney General. Far from it! I feel sorry for the EU lawyers. I hope they're okay.
September 10, 20204 yr Author I feel sorry for the EU lawyers. I hope they're okay. Because they've been laughing so hard at her analysis, which could have been unravelled by a 5 year-old? See: @1304076133827309569 She only got the job because she 'believes in Brexit' but is completely out of her depth. Still, got to love the chumocracy!!

Still, got to love the chumocracy!! Quite the opposite. The EU are threatening the UK with legal action and fines, and even all out trade war. The EU project is upset because metaphorically the UK has given them a massive punch in the face. Boris and Dom Cummings has played the EU project, the timing is just glorious.
September 10, 20204 yr Author The UK has metaphorically started pissing in its own tent. That's the correct analogy.

The EU project is upset because metaphorically the UK has given them a massive punch in the face. Boris and Dom Cummings has played the EU project, the timing is just glorious. Or it's because the UK plan to break international law in order to change the already agreed upon WA? If parliament vote through the changes, it'll have far reaching consequences for the UK.
September 10, 20204 yr Thank you Gina Miller, you beautiful woman. She's just helped the Brexiteers once again with her legal case. The UK Parliament is sovereign thanks to people like Sir Bill Cash and Gina Miller. God is real. Eh? I mean I know you have posted that for the sole reason attempt to wind people up and I’m talking to a brick wall in replying to you but the principle of Parliamentary Sovereignty is Politics/Law 101. The case of Gina Miller didn’t set out anything different in relation to that but keep reaching. The legal advice isn’t even legal advice, there’s barely any form of reasoning behind it as to how she gets to a conclusion.
September 10, 20204 yr *Potential Tory Rebellion Klaxon* @1304103835674304512 Not surprisingly really. I guess the majority of the Tory MPs are for Brexit, but I'd guess there are a significant majority that against pissing off the international community and sending our country down a lonely road.

September 10, 20204 yr Not surprisingly really. I guess the majority of the Tory MPs are for Brexit, but I'd guess there are a significant majority that against pissing off the international community and sending our country down a lonely road. Were most of the remainers not culled last year?
September 10, 20204 yr Were most of the remainers not culled last year? They certainly were. But I also think there are quite a strong amount of Tories who are for Brexit, but for the Brexit that went through Parliment. Not the one Cummings seems to trying to go through now. They're either pushing us towards no trade deal, or not allowing us to make any trade deals with the rest of the world. It's ludacris.
September 11, 20204 yr The UK-Japan FTA has been secured today. This deal will be tailored for the UK and Japan's economy, for example much improved trade in financial services, cheaper Japanese cars in the UK, unlike the EU-Japan deal. Who wants to sign an FTA with an "international law breaking country". Only the third biggest economy in the world. Again, epic timing from Boris and Dom Cummings. Oh, and the UK's application for joining the CPTPP is well underway, looking good to join next year. Bye bye EU project, it was not nice knowing you. Edited September 11, 20204 yr by PeaceMob
