Haha, beautiful effort Rob, love showcases like these. Intrigued by that Rontvia entry a lot from the first batch.

Song: Då Som Nu För Alltid

Artist: Kent

Land Of DW kick off the next part of the Semi One reveal with a Swedish language track by alternative rock outfit Kent. The band are now on their 12th studio album and have witnessed massive success in their home country but it's taken until the 123rd Buzzjack contest for them to finally cross over into BJSC waters. Alt-rock isn't the most obvious recipe for success here, but it'd be silly to ever rule anything out.

Song: Hoch

Artist: Tim Bendzko

Continuing a short spell of foreign language tracks, Republique D'Askorza are up next with German singer-songwriter Tim Bendzko representing them with the track 'Hoch'. Once again, we have a debutante to the contest for Bendzko. He's a former winner of Bundesvision Song Contest, whatever that may be, but now it's time to tackle the biggest and best song contest, has he got what it takes to grab Republique D'Askorza a second win?

Song: Rakata

Artist: Eden Alene

Shock, gasp, horror - Ramrynia entering with a cast off from Eurovision season? Well, I never. But, it is yet again, a debut artist entrant as Israeli Eden Alene becomes a part of the contest. Rakata was one of four songs that Eden put out to be selected for the Eurovision stage but it didn't end up winning. Now she won't get to see the Eurovision stage at all so a success for Rakata here would be a nice consolation prize.

Song: Antisocial Socialites

Artist: Kyan Palmer, nicopop. & Yuri Joness

I'm reliably informed that New Lexico's entry this contest was the winner of Popjustice Song Contest. This has been a formula that has shown some success in the past but on other occasions, has backfired. Either way, this three way collaboration between RnB singer Kyan Palmer, electronic pop singer nicopop. and rapper Yuri Joness has a little bit of pedigree behind it, will they be synthing it all the way to the pop?

Song: 100 Ways

Artist: Jackson Wang

Singerpurear entering a track to BJSC that was released in the past month? Your eyes do not deceive you, my friends. Jackson Wang is a rapper and singer from the Korean boyband Got7 but now he's gone solo and he finds himself in BJSC for the first time. Will turning modern be a turn towards big success for Singerpurear?

100 Ways is the best song from Jackson’s output actually, I’m enjoying it more than I did his album from months ago

Curious if that Land of DW entry timing is a coincidence or not as the visuals are rather appropriate to the current state of the world as pointed out in the YouTube comments

Looking back at the PJSC that Kyan Palmer won, the very same contest also had Anja Kotar's 'Brain' in 3rd so Lex has now sent two of that contest's top 3. Will see if this one does better over here than 'Brain' did x

(I am living for every song getting its own little bio as well, excited for East Rukahavian's... :kink: x)

always here for Kent <3

This detail  Yessss Rob!!

Nothing I'm familiar with so far which is good, hopefully I'll make some decent discoveries!

Song: Monster

Artist: Paramore

It's time for the second of four anniversary entries now, this time for Taahino, represented by a little known rock act called... Paramore? There's no doubting this artist and track (which was a top 40 track in the UK and US, no less) represent Taahino's nation perfectly and if this is their last entry for a while, it's quite possible they're about to go out with quite the bang. Just how big of a monster hit will this be for them?

Song: Take Me To The Water

Artist: Alice Gray

Next we head to Summericia, who are taking us to the water apparently. We've had many Alice's in this contest before this is Ms Gray's first time reaching us. The American pop artist will be hoping to take Summericia right back to the final also, after missing out last contest.

Song: Infinity

Artist: DubDogz & Bhaskar

It's a break from recycling the field of Asia's biggest talents for Daehun as they turn to Spinnin Records for their entry this time around. With a reworking of Infinity Ink's dance favourite 'Infinity', DJ's DubDogz & Bhaskar are on hand to give this song some new life. Will heading West give Daehun a resounding success or will it all go south from here?

Song: Azure Of The Horizon

Artist: Fractal Dreamers

Now to Terra Avium, who are represented by a Swedish duo called Fractal Dreamers. It's another instrumental from the nation that do instrumentals like no other, fusing a mixture of orchestral sounds with a touch of drum n bass. It's what the contest is all about and it's not been treating Terra Avium too badly of recent, will that fortune continue for them?

Song: SpongeBob & Patrick Confront The Psychic Wall Of Energy

Artist: The Flaming Lips

It's a welcome return to the contest for Wholune and they're definitely coming back in some kind of style. After being vetoed with Anita Dobson's vocal Eastenders theme tune, Wholune have switched it on its head and presented an ode to two favourites for cartoon lovers. The track comes from the 2004 Spongebob Squarepants movie and it's definitely a unique offering!

although i'd prefer if DW sent an actual song and not an album trailer/video~ I don't think it's on either streaming platforms oops
here for some ionnalee too yay! x
