It just finished airing in the US (Untucked is on at the moment), so sorry if I’m stepping on anyone’s toes. Have fun discussing! :heart:

I’m curious who your top 3 would be excluding Sherry? For me it would be Widow winning, then Jackie and Jan high

Love that Aiden did well.

 

Nicky going was overdue - hated Heidi’s runway look but it annoyed me that they praised Crystal for the acting challenge and did not do the same for Heidi

I honestly found Aiden hilarious in this episode but mostly because she's just SO bad it's amazing to watch. I was literally wheezing over her scenes in Gay's Anatomy while I hardly found anyone else really that funny.

 

Challenge & Runway wise:

Top 3: Gigi, Widow & Aiden and I suppose Widow would have deserved a win here if we're excluding ****** who unfortunately did well.

Btm 3: Brita, Heidi & Jaida but I understand why Nicky was in the bottom given that she nominated herself.

 

Heidi slayed the lip sync while Nicky was just awkward. Not sad that she went but I smell a lip sync assassin in Heidi.

 

I'm not a fan of Widow's attitude and I HATE it when the queens get pissed that they don't get their top choice. Be versatile and slay whatever god damn role you're given. In awful acting challenges like this pretty much ANYONE can stand out if they do it right so I hated seeing Widow complain about not getting her top choice only to then actually slay the role she did get.

 

I honestly at this point can only imagine either Jaida or Gigi winning this whole thing.

So I watched Untucked and really felt bad for Aiden. Everyone coming for her, especially Brita :angry: That said, she did wear the same wig AGAIN. :lol:

 

Also, I honestly didn't think Nicky did that bad, I actually found her HILARIOUS.

Can we just skip to season 13 already? :')

 

So annoyed at Nicky leaving over the likes of Brita and Aiden who are just so irritating and woeful at this stage.

A good acting challenge, on Drag Race? I am shook. Good episode overall actually, a big step up

 

Everyone done a good job and Nicky's performance would've been safe on any of the past like 3 or 4 season's acting challenges.

 

I know it might be controversial to praise her now, but I just have to acknowledge how insanely talented Sherry is. Her looks and performances, especially this week, have been so great. I can't remember the last time a queen impressed me this much in their first 4 episodes.

 

Kinda agree with the portions this week, I think Crystal's look should've let he rue in the high group over maybe like Jackie or Jan or Aiden who all did good but not quite great

 

 

Jan literally got more screen time on Untucked than she did the entire episode :P

I am starting to think that Sherry Pie originally could have been crowned as a winner for this season because she is really good at this lol!!!

 

I don't agree with Nicky Doll going home tbh when you have Brita, Aiden and Crystal still in the competition.

 

Gigi slayed once again in both acting and runway!!!

In terms of competition performance Nicky was definitely the weakest left, don't really see how you could justify someone like Crystal leaving before her

Jan is being done so dirty this season :lol: In my opinion one of the strongest queens there alongside Gigi, Jaida and Sherry. Yet she's had the least screen time and very minimal judges critique if any at all (?) Funny as this was her weakest week so far yet she placed high for the first time!

 

I'm not too upset Nicky is gone, everything the judges have said was correct and her 'goofy' is just not the OTT American style Ru comes to expect on his show. The cape critique was a very fair point also.

Watching untucked this week will likely put you off quite a lot of the queens. Why do they care SO much about Aiden's placements. It's pretty uncomfortable the way Brita and Jaida and to a lesser extent Nicky were talking to her.

She performed better than you stop being jealous

Surely it's pretty understandable why the other queens get pissed off with Aiden and how she's managing to avoid criticism / ending up in the bottom?

 

It was there this week, but more-so last week her laid-back attitude, her willingness to pass off other queens' thoughts on her outfits as her own wonderful creations, her lack of want to push herself and do better (instead thinking she'll do best by confining herself to one box and never breaking from that), and not forgetting her smug attitude when she manages to escape the bottom despite knowing full well she needs to step the f*** UP.

In my opinion I find Crystal just being there...more like a filler queen and somewhere in background. And her runway look was terrible and yet she got praised for it.

 

And I know Nicky Doll don't have what it takes to be a winner but I still find her much more memorable and she stands out in her uniqueness way!!!

 

I just felt she could have stayed for at least 2 more episodes (after Brita and Aiden even though I like her).

 

Brita attitude is just a no go for me. Mean and witchy attitude are something I am very against it!!!

Untucked was actually really uncomfortable, Brita is disgusting :mellow: She's so obsessed with tearing Aiden down that she forgets to worry about the fact she has done NOTHING all season. There hasn't been a single moment where she has done something I remembered, someone I applauded, something that deserved to be singled out for praise. She seems to think that simply being Brita who has a name and reputation at home is enough, but like this is Drag Race it's so much bigger than your local scene. Everybody has the same thing to prove and she's proved nothing other than how much of a nasty person she is! Heidi was a hero in that Untucked, I just love her basically no matter what she does lmao

 

I'm no fan of Aiden, I think she's just not a great queen tbh, but it was really horrible seeing Brita (and to a lesser extent Jaida) treat her like that. I mean I totally get them being frustrated at Aiden not putting as much effort in (because one look at her looks when she had to make them last week shows she is not) last week but like... what does that even have to do with this week's challenge?? Aiden did well in this challenge and deserved praise for it, I don't really see what past performance has to do with that when it was already brought up before anyway! Aiden doesn't have a great attitude imo but there's just no need to keep going after her. Like Brita girl, like I said worry about yourself not everyone else.

 

As for the actual episode, it was so much better than the last couple! I really liked the challenge, nobody was bad as such and I think it was deserving that Ru called out quite a few highs rather than the top 3 because it was close. Sherry did kill it but I just kind of gloss over her and pretend she's not there in a way, all the others that Ru called out killed it too in their ways and I thought Crystal's little nuances of physical comedy were great. It was just one of those acting challenges that actually was funny which helped :lol: I loooved Crystal's runway too, her makeup is stunning since she took notes on it! She's definitely not really on my radar rn and really needs to step it up but I love that she's taken comments on board and is trying to change based on them.

I don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface of what Crystal can do so that’s probably why we’re playing into this “she’s so underwhelming” narrative? This past runway was such a step up and I would love to see more of it.

 

I’ve been finding Brita to be more and more arrogant as the season goes on. Like yes you may have decades upon decades of experience but this is Drag Race, and it’s a whole other playing field. Heidi had every reason to call her out; she really needs a lesson in humility.

 

Widow is so confusing for me. Like there are times where I can’t stand her (like when she complained about not getting the role she wanted for the entire episode), but then her reactions on Untucked win me back over.

Excited for this! Such an out of the box choice but probably quite easy and a very clever choice at that!

Gigi is quite the manipulator, isn't she? She set up Nicky to fail in this episode just like how Blu nudged Sum Ting towards David Attenborough for Snatch Game.

 

This episode is just more evidence that they were originally gunning for Sherry to win I think. It felt heavily edited to spin away from that but there were still elements. However...Sherry IS the only one that dressed as a winner tonight on that runway. Awful person that she is you can't deny she has confidence & isn't fazed by much.

 

Pairing Aiden & Brita for this challenge was A Choice. Sabotage??

Conspiracy time: I think editing Sherry out hurt Jan the most this episode screen time-wise; if you see in the Gay's Anatomy skit most of Jan's scenes are with her character's mother (who doesn't change actors midway). Then to compensate the editors gave Jan all that screen time in Untucked (her reactions were hilarious so that was much needed).

 

This might be a "delusion, convince yourself" but part of me doesn't want to think about how she'll get phased out and booted for some BS reason like Shuga Cain did

I get why Jan had zero screen time as a lot of drama happened not involving her, but they could have shown a couple of confessionals at least! My only guess is that she's probably not funny enough? Which I struggle to believe as she's come across so fun so far.
