About time “Physical” got in the top 3.

And I’m glad it’s ahead of DSN

Blinding Lights is still the most popular song of the moment so no reason it shouldn’t be number one really.

what the OCC really need to do though is reset songs on the week they get a big boost.

makes no sense having a song get a massive boost, but that not being reflected in the chart. as much as I love Roses, it doesn’t deserve to be sitting at number one right now and it wouldn’t if the OCC made their reset rule make more sense.

resets should be 25 percent for recent songs and not given to songs that have spent absolutely ages in the chart too to stop the likes of SYL come January.

Triple Dua in the top 10 is lovely to see, hope Break My Heart can hang on - it seems likely with its streaming stability

Hope LM can stay top 10 too but I'm not as sure that they will with the sales falling pretty quickly

This is why they should not have reduced the reset ratio to 25%. If it was still at 50%, he’d still be on ACR

You can't call for a rule change just because you don't like the outcome.

Fantastic for The Weeknd! :cheer: 6th week at number one incoming. ^_^

The top 5 is very strong - well the top 7 is excluding Lonely. Physical nabbing a top 3 peak before BMH takes over would be ideal.

Mabel will hopefully be pushed out of the top 10 by Friday. Boyfriend can bore off.

You'll just have to get over it, won't you?

It would decrease the chances of songs getting resets for one which is a good thing

It really wouldn't given the sales chart is more easily affected by random tv appearances of songs etc.

I can just imagine your posts if something went back to SCR just because it featured one week in the background in the Queen Vic or as the background to an Ant and Dec prank.

Or the NOW effect

Wish The Weeknd was just at no1 for 6 weeks straight hate all this jumping about. When was the last time a no1 had a third stint at the top the 50s?

No, 2 and a half years ago with Despacito :P

(also I ask this every time and I still have no understanding - why is a return to #1 such a bad thing????)

I guess people just don't like seeing messy chart runs is the main reason. Although with the way things are these days, most chart runs are messy...

I'd say returning to #1 makes for an interesting run rather than messy

messy is when songs disappear from the chart for 1 week and reappear next, didn't it happen to I Don't Care?

Yes it did. I Don't Care has left the chart 4 times so far, from positions #2, #34, #81 and #41.

Blinding Lights was legitimately outdone by No Time To Die and Roses in separate weeks, nothing wrong at all with it having a third stint at #1.

I wwonder where all other Dua's track would went if not starred out

James Masterton will more than likely let us know on Friday
