Posted April 4, 20205 yr View this post on Instagram Here's the caption: Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative. It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible. This illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities. In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center. Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. THANK YOU to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones. You are our heroes! These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home.❤️ My heart sank a little when I saw the headline (I hope the thread title doesn't give anyone the same reaction, if so I'm sorry!), so relieved to hear it's old news at this point and especially that Jameson is okay!
April 4, 20205 yr Just saw this on Instagram! So glad they're OK now (hope Carey and Willow are also OK!)
April 4, 20205 yr I’m so glad they’re ok! This illness is so scary now and if we’d have lost Pink, I’d have been devastated!
April 4, 20205 yr Thank god she’s now no longer testing positive for it. Hope she and all her family are well and isolating. And wow at her donating. She’s a generous soul.
April 4, 20205 yr That's a lot of money to donate :o good on her! Glad to hear both her and her child are healthy again.
April 5, 20205 yr we don't deserve her. It's not every celebrity would casually donate a million $ just to help out normal people in her area.
April 5, 20205 yr She really does spread her wealth, I wish more celebs were like her although I know many do without us knowing but equally many dont. Edited April 5, 20205 yr by Feel_The_Fever
April 7, 20205 yr I gasped more reading this headline than I did reading about my own prime minster having Covid 19... So glad she is ok and safe, this virus is quite terrifying.
April 7, 20205 yr It truly is terrifying, and there is no sign of it ending either which makes it scarier.
April 7, 20205 yr I gasped more reading this headline than I did reading about my own prime minster having Covid 19... So glad she is ok and safe, this virus is quite terrifying. She's a much better person. Truly generous of spirit. I thought I'd posted already. Selfless. She deserves all the respect.
